Business Plan

The name of my make up brand is SHINE. The basis of the name is based on the ideology or objective of the makeup brand; to make individuals that use the product to stand out in a crowd almost in the element of shining. The brand is a revolutionary make-up production that is intent on providing dynamic aspects of makeup to improve or enhance the appearance of the individuals that will use the products.

The makeup will ideally target the women market. We do not intend on focusing on particular niches, but we intend on developing products that will appeal to all age groups. We understand that not every age group will use the same product, as the different group may have different requirements for the makeup products based on their personal objectives: such as seeking long terms companions, make up to simply look good, make up that is simple among other reasons. It is therefore important to develop different products for the different target markets.

The marketing strategy will revolve around carrying put market research that will serve to solve the questions based on the right price for the products, the different variations of products that the market will require, features or aspects that should be incorporated among other factors. in terms of selling the products, they will be based on selling the products to salons, which is a haven for women and the different market niches will be available in the salons; thus the most strategic place for selling the products. The products will be available in supermarkets but they will be sold by individuals who will provide some guidance on how to use the products especially for novices.

Marketing categories include: Advertising. The case of advertising will involve the use of Television that will include running ads on the product and the possible results for their use, Billboards that will illustrate the use of the products, the establishment of a website, radio, advertisements in Newspapers, using bumper stickers on cars, posters on windows particularly in salons and beauty shops, the use of sales people on the streets, advertising on social sites such as Facebook,  emailing individuals on the product and the use of word of mouth. These methods are strategically ideal for the brand and will facilitate the brand’s success.

Another strategy will involve Promotions. This will involve the use of free products (but two and get on free), having competitions that will involve the purchase of the products and they could cash prizes and even vacations, establishing membership that will allow individuals to get free products, collaborating with other companies to create a combination of products (partnering with Nivea to provide products for the market), creating competitions that allow people to develop their own make up products that the brand can develop in the future and providing a period of discounted prices on the products.

The final category will be internet. The brand will develop a website that will allow the customers to get updates of the development of the latest products as well as allow them to make orders from the website, which will be the cheapest means of buying the product. The website will provide updates on the company brand, news articles that will involve the company, offering the subscription option in which the customers can get updates through direct emails, subscription to the website for updates straight to the phone, the option of providing feedback and suggestions to the company on the website and provide a forum on the website for customers to interact with each other on the product. With this marketing strategy, the company will be quite successful in the near and far future.
