Please choose a statement or concept and post [a well-reasoned and thoughtful] reaction to it, positive or negative. Support your comments with references, as appropriate, to your readings and other course materials. The concept is how biomass energy works.

Through the operative use of photosynthesis as the base system for the occurrence of the production of biomass energy, it could be realized that creation of such energy source is indeed considered sustainable especially that it is renewable. However, alongside its benefits also comes the need to mitigate the proper management of the use of this energy resource. With improper use and indiscreet production and distribution of biomass energy, ecosystems could be damaged drastically and the problem of global warming would worsen instead of being resolved.

What needs to be imposed in line with the realization of the efficient use of biomass energy is the course by which humans become directly disciplined in considering the worth of each energy source hence producing only what is needed and not abusing the resources from which the energy is being taken from. Greed should be minimized and concern for nature through proper education should be established in line with the implementation of the creation of biomass energy resources.

Please share an innovative idea with your classmates. The idea should be related to these modules topics and can come from the Internet, paper, journal or magazine. You post should be at least 100 words in length. This should deal with geothermal energy.

Geothermal energy, although considered as an essential source of alternative energy is given less concern by researchers today compared to how solar power production and utilization is being given attention to. The reason behind this is the fact that drilling through the earth to get water pressure up is a risky task; a task that Sandia [a San Diego drilling consultant] hopes to expand upon. In the aim of creating more water pressure on earth so that it releases higher levels of natural heat on the ground to produce geothermal energy, Sandia now tries to continue its research especially regarding the sinking of geothermal wells to at least twice as deep as most wells are at present.
