Byzantine arts emanated from the Greek Christian philosophy of the east roman kingdom, contents from classical Greeks and Christian tradition were creativity articulated through Hellenistic mode of style and iconography. The foundation of Byzantine artistry is the primary art behaviour held by Byzantine Greeks who, like their early Greek precursors, were not contented with the play of form, but inspired by intrinsic rationalism, artistic form with life by associating themselves with actual contents.

The Byzantium was the east division of the Roman Empire in its early stages, and thus there was strong roman or classical impact dominance of Byzantine artistry. It is thus possibly vital to note that the Byzantine kingdom was more of Greek than Romans in countless characteristics and Hellenistic artists kept on to be persuasive, more specifically on the notion of naturalism. Also, the physical extent of the empire as well had its implication for the arts. For instance, in “Alexandria”, the more inflexible Coptic approach took off from the 6^th century and substituted the primary Hellenistic approach. Most of the colours were gotten rid of, and bright colours were preferred, whilst symbols are thicker and less lifelike
