Choices Aren’t Ask, Term Paper Example

I will argue Kant’s universal laws on abortion about avoiding: physical, financial and emotional difficulties. Kant’s formula of universal law is based on rationalization. I don’t believe in rationalization when it comes to life. We make choices. The choices that people make are most of the times, not considered for them but for others.

For instance if you make a choice to take birth control pills and aware of the risk in getting pregnant because it 98% preventable. I believe a woman shouldn’t just make a selfish decision in having an abortion because their birth control fails. Truthfully knowing the risk should be considered if this option fails it will became inevitable. Another reason I don’t believe abortion should be consider is conceiving in a relationship and the woman realizes her mate won’t resume in the relationship because she’s pregnant. I’m not a relationship expert but if a man chose to leave a woman because she pregnant; I believe he’s involve with someone else or don’t want to take responsibility for their actions.

Let’s say if a woman gets pregnant whether her mate still wants to be involved with her on not. I believe she should consider not having an abortion. I believe she think who didn’t ask to be born, then the baby didn’t ask to be born. I believe when a woman is conceive that it’s the will of mother nature . Personally, she should think it’s the time for her calling in serving the purpose of life. Still I don’t believe in abortion no matter what the circumstances expect for medical reason because the risk involve. However it could be difficult when the life of the fetus and the mother are at risk. Then this I believe in making a choice for the safety of both mother and child.

I found rationalization as being a scapegoat. I don’t believe that abortion should be an option because of financial purpose. Then adoption should be an alternative option at least the baby will have an opportunity to be born and experience life. Poor women who become pregnant, faces financial burdens, considered abortion but couldn’t afford it. They rather go find someone cheap and who think they’re know what they doing than a license medical profession. When an abortion is perform by a non license profession many risk of medical problems are involve which can lead to surgery or death.

I believe Kant’s formula of universal law is harmful to the human nature. It’s the risk in causing and escalating emotional problems. According to most studies, women who have abortions become traumatized in regrets and have to get psychiatric treatment. Those women who keep having abortions will have numerous of medical problems. Such as constantly vaginal infections and if not treated well, it will lead to cancer. Sometimes too, having many abortions can lead to constant internal bleeding and experiencing symptoms of early menopause.

The decision about abortion is base on morality. I will explain the comparison of Kant and Mill reasons why it popular in the human culture. Kant’s strategies of morality is base on the surrounding in they’re formula of universal law and Mill is based on unity. Both of their strategies contribute happiness of other human beings and appeal first principles to derivation of duties. Also they both appeal rationality to evaluate morality, recognized the sense of moral sense and extend the sense of moral agency. I will argue the differences between Kant’s and Mill’s strategies about human’s behavior of morality. First difference of  comparison have been noted by Dr. Hitchcock and their students based on respect of principles.

Dr. Hitchcock, the respect for human principles based between Kant and Mill. In justifying the first principle, Kant reason is legislating the law for itself and Mill is what people desire at the end. For morality status, Kant imposed legislation of the will and Mill the social control of individual behavior. The beginning motivation in conforming to morality, Kant respecting one own autonomy and Mill the desire in harmony fellow human beings. Popular attitude of morality, Kant is agreement and Mill the willingness to reform. The allowances of exceptions in intermediate moral rules, Kant its minimal and Mill social unity indicates all things considered.

Scope in morality, Kant is rational beings and Mil sentient creatures. The focusing of derivation of principles in morality, Kant is it worth moral action and Mill the correction of moral action.

Sources of moral action in rightfulness and wrongness, Kant depend on its maxim about the subjective agents rule of conduct and Mill the action and depending on the consequences. Last, duties to self, Kant to recognized and Mill morals.

The students strategies for human principles of respect, based between Kant and Mill. The basis about morality, Kant exclusively rational and Mill isn’t. The beginning point of evaluation, Kant focus agent on moral worth of action and Mill depend on the type of action and consequences. Focusing evaluation, Kant base on individual agent and Mill the collection of consequences. The touchstone morality, Kant practicing exceptionless objective standard and

Mill based on subordinate principles in producing more happiness. The act of moral motivation, Kant self legislation and Mill external and internal sanctions. Moral epistemic status, Kant is innate and Mill are to  acquired and cultivated. The good of conception, Kant good will and Mill happiness. Both Dr. Hitchcock and students believe the same differences between Kant of rational beings and Mill sentient creatures. The conflict duties of attitude, Kant is indeterminate and Mill unity in resolvable principles. Morality needs for social context, Kant agree and Mill disagree.

When it comes to abortion, I believe Kant universal laws shouldn’t applied to human reasons. I do agree with Mill that consequences play a role when it comes to morality.
