Introduction

Based on my life experiences to date, I am most interested in establishing a greater understanding of different cultures and to create greater harmony throughout society. I strongly believe in the ability of individuals to work together toward a set of common goals and to communicate regarding differences to invoke social change and progress. Every day, I continue to learn more about my culture and where I fit into American society. Although this is challenging from time to time, I have worked very hard to discover my path throughout my life and as an international student in the United States, I want to make a difference in the lives of women from my culture who have not been as fortunate in their own lives.

Analysis

I believe that in today’s society, many women of diverse cultures are not given the same opportunities as others who are able to obtain these advantages more easily. These disadvantages must be addressed in a manner that will enable women to have a voice and to be heard throughout their lives. Since they cannot accomplish these objectives alone, they require support and assistance so that they are able to obtain new options in their lives. Not all women of my culture are poised for a male-dominated lifestyle, as many women possess significant potential that remains untapped. Therefore, I believe that the options that are available to these women are far too limiting. When I return to my home country in the future, I want to help women in my culture who otherwise might not have the options that will propel them towards future success.

It is important to provide the women of my culture with programs to provide support, guidance, and insight into specific career paths so that they might be able to pursue their dreams and to be recognized for their individual contributions within their families and within communities. I would like to establish a career guidance program that will enable women without a voice to freely express themselves and to follow their passions accordingly. This program will be open to all teenage and adult women of the culture so that they will develop new insight into their own strengths. This type of programmatic effort is an important step towards empowering women in my culture to find inner peace and contentment by exploring their career paths and passions through idea sharing and free expression. Many women in my culture are unable to find the words and to openly express themselves; therefore, this program will encourage these women to take the next steps toward their future careers, but not without consideration of the culture and its limitations. A delicate balance must be achieved that will provide these women with a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow, mature, and thrive as they move forward with their lives. These issues will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the program and how it impacts the women who need it most.

Conclusion

Slowly but surely, my voice is being heard in my role as an international student in the United States. However, I struggle with the idea that many women from my culture will never have the same opportunities and will be unable to make their voices heard. Therefore, my call to action involves empowering these women to move forward and to take the steps are necessary to provide them with hope and encouragement. When these women are hopeful that they will be able to seek new opportunities without fear and judgment from males within the culture. The program that I want to develop will enable women from my culture to share their ideas and to discover their own talents and passions to choose a career path that is suited for them. I believe that this program will support my ambitions to help other women with significant potential and to provide them with the support that they need to move forward in their lives and to achieve great success.
