Coursework

There are several similarities between the proposal paper and coursework. The main thing about these papers is that they talk about energy sources, especially renewable, and how they can be efficient for a large population. The key purpose of these two papers is to look into how energy is produced and generated in Africa and how clean energy sources are made which are eco-friendly as well does not cause harm to humans.

One of the key similarities is how hydrogen is a clean and renewable energy source in Africa’s countries. Both discuss various methods used in producing this type of energy and processes that it has to go through to be ready for use at home and other areas that require power. Hydrogen is used to produce electrical energy and thermal energy for domestic use in cooking and the other regions that require thermal eat, such as industries. This energy source is considered cheap and reliable and can serve a large population when channeled well in an area. However, this energy source is often affected by a change in weather, making it insufficient for not being wholly depended on but complemented by other energy sources. In this case, hydrogen tends to be difficult to implement and keep the flow going.

Both papers illustrate how diversified use of energy can bring about sufficiency. For instance, solar power will only be present when there has been sufficient solar energy or sunlight supply and complemented by other sources when not available. Also, electric energy would be insufficient and would be compensated for by solar power energy in blackouts for operations that require that energy (Potocnik, 2007). Diversification of energy has enabled that operations run without stopping if there is a shortage of one source of energy. The use of biogas energy has been implemented for use in a large process that would cost less than electricity, which is costly. Renewable energy sources will cost less and be affordable to the less advantaged in society and eliminate poverty in most countries.

The proposal and coursework argue that different types of energies are produced in other areas. In this case, one type of energy may be sufficient and insufficient in another and thus have to process or transport. For instance, wind power is plenty in most rural areas raised and can be utilized by using windmills that cause the turning of a turbine to convert the energy in a form that can be used. This energy is essential in production since most processing plants are located in rural areas and have to be processed before being transported to the urban areas for final processing and packaging. Also, areas near water bodies such as rivers and waterfalls may use the water to produce hydropower used as a source of electricity and various operations.

Wood fuel is commonly used since it is readily available in most areas and does not require any form of processing. Also, geothermal energy is common in areas with natural hot springs and geysers, where the heat is produced to generate thermal energy used for various purposes (DLA Piper, 2021). Power can be transported from one place to another to ensure all areas have access to energy to facilitate the economy’s growth.

The main reason behind using various sources of energy in both papers is increased demand, which tends to be higher than the amount of energy supplied by a single source. Consequently, increased demand from a growing population and advancements compels the countries to search for various energy sources to satisfy the demand. It mainly includes renewable sources that can supply energy for a long time without exhausting or destroying the environment (Panwar, 2011). In most cases, the use of carbon sources is hazardous since they emit carbon, which depletes the air and affects humans by causing respiratory diseases that could lead to death. As the years go by, the demand will increase since changes that require energy keep being made. More energy will be necessary to run operations in the years to come due to the increased use of machinery that involves energy use.

Another similarity is that some sources of energy have not been fully utilized. For instance, windmills, which convert kinetic energy into either electric or mechanical energy, have not been implemented in several African countries due to the installation cost and maintenance of windmills limiting energy production and causing waste of a potential energy source. Also, petroleum is available in countries and has not been discovered, or the country lacks appropriate and equipment to extract or drill the oil. As a result, many countries are compelled to import petroleum and other sources such as electric energy to sustain the energy requirements. Energy production costs should be less than the profits made to ensure that the methods are efficient. The major reason why various energy sources are not utilized is that some African countries have poor infrastructure and lack the necessary skills to carry out energy exploitation. Other causes include poor infrastructure maintenance, poor coordination, poor distribution tactics, lack of adequate information about energy sources, and high cost of starting capital.

One major difference is that the proposal majorly discusses hydrogen as a source of energy, while the coursework discusses all energy sources. The proposal focuses solely on hydrogen and describes how the energy can be produced and utilized adequately to serve a large population (Shahzad, 2012). Coursework explains how one energy source cannot serve many people since it is not available elsewhere. Regarding this, hydrogen as a source of energy may not be adequate due to fluctuations due to climate change or insufficient production. The energy to be used has to be environmentally friendly by not having emissions that will cause pollution or deplete the Ozone layer (Schwerhoff, 2017). The sources used before, such as coal, have been limited since they produce a lot of carbon to produce energy used in thermal conduction. The energy source has to be long-term and not cause harm to humans working to facilitate its production.

One of the benefits of writing such a dissertation paper is that it allows one to develop a suitable format and writing style. As compared to coursework, the project proposal’s point is clearly stated and arranged in a manner that will enable proper reading or follow-up (Greetham, 2019). Also, the format and style use enables one to go directly to the part of the paper they are interested in. As a result, it saves time and energy when reading the dissertation or doing research. Secondly, writing a dissertation ensures that the writer is on the right track when writing. Using a dissertation enables one to systematically follow the chapters of the topic, thus making the research easy and fast compared to coursework. The whole topic’s research has to be read and done to derive the study’s key points. It will revise the issues if any clarifications need to be made and make changes or corrections necessary in the project paper. They can also help with information where required and do further research based on the research chapters. Writing a project proposal will enable the supervisor or instructor of the project to go through work fast, make corrections, and go through it with the dissertation writer. Concerning this, the writer can improve his writing skills and enable him or her to develop better ideas acceptable to the supervisor. The writer will have an opportunity to meet the required standards of writing for his project.

A dissertation project paper has several challenges as well. One of the challenges is that one may encounter problems when selecting a topic to study or research. One may choose an ambiguous topic that might difficult to study and summarize or a topic that is too shallow and only discussed few issues that may be considered insufficient for the research (Staff, 2017). It might contribute to leaving out essential sections or parts of the topic and making the research paper fail to meet the requirements.

The selection of topics by a researcher is time-consuming and leads to the time limitation for doing the actual project. It causes the student to do haste work, which causes several mistakes and errors in the research paper (Kucan, 2011). This would lead to the failure of the project dues to the omission of the essential parts. Students have trouble implementing the correct format and writing since every institution has a format that prefers to write proposal projects. The writer may get confused about using or following a writing format for a proposed project (Thomas, 2016). The usage of incorrect format leads to loss of points and makes the project paperless qualified. Using software in dissertation writing is a challenge to some writers or researchers since it requires one to be conversant with various software features and know where to apply there. For example, tables and graphs are a major challenge as some fail to understand how to insert them on a word document page or fill it as per the research requirement.

Writing coursework is beneficial in ways such as providing a great experience of learning for students. In this case, a learner gets to study a chapter in-depth and gain knowledge, enabling him better to understand the topic (Drabick, 2007). It will allow the students to express themselves sensibly. Coursework enhances a student’s creativity by improving his skills and talents when it comes to writing. Having good writing skills will enable him in his paperwork and projects, which is an added advantage. It also helps a student write work that is qualified and earns him points (Verk, 2018). Since the work is based on the student’s reasoning, it is easy to know which chapter was understood most and what needs to be revisited before submitting the coursework. With the necessary skills, the student can get enough time to do the coursework and proofread.

In writing coursework, the student may face challenges such as time limitations. Several chapters have to be studied and included in the paper within a short period (Crème, 2008). With time limitation, the chapters may not be exhaustion thus omitting crucial information. This is brought about by a short deadline, meaning that the writing has to be done within the shortest time possible. Miscommunication between the writer and the instructor may be a challenge. It would occur when the writer is out of topic or has not clearly illustrated the coursework’s points. When the instructor fails to communicate how he should contain the work, he often compels the writer to use his methods to complete the coursework.
