Evidence is a specifically important element when it comes to defining the pathway a particular program is to take. For instance, it is important to understand what the situation is in specific community and what the people living in it specifically needs before any healthcare program could be established. Collecting data means gaining good evidence for use in consideration with the distinction of a good program to be implemented in the community. For instance, one community may have larger need for meningococcal vaccines compared to other communities due to the concentration of the epidemic in the area (Kara, 2012). Relatively, it could be understood that the data collected would identify the specific needs of the participants or the population targeted through the program it is with the existence of such data that the specificity of the needed program could be identified (Creswell, 2008). It is also with such condition of understanding that the people to be involved in the program gain proper understanding as to how they should direct their options and their concern for a relatively responsive process of development for the target stakeholders of the program.

The example of the case given herein is more dedicated to medicine and healthcare; nevertheless, other fields of studies and expertise do the same thing to be able to gain much benefit from knowing specific evidences that would help them define their path towards developing programs that are needed and are essential in helping the community thrive at its best (Garraghan, 1996).  Making the most efficient use of the data collected would render the programs being created to be highly applicable and dependable especially in determining the connection it provides towards social development and individual progress. No matter what the study being conducted is, gaining properly defined data that would support the whole course of developing an efficient program for the welfare of the people is always beneficial.
