Graze Clothing E-Commerce, Coursework Example

Coursework

Graze Clothing Corporation has had an unimaginable success thus far, and the next step in this corporation’s success is to open an E-commerce site.   The first step we took was to decide on and register the domain, which is www.GrazeClothingINC.com.   Once that was complete, the next step was to determine the business clothing image, prices and description.   The clothing chose for the website was eighty percent of the total product line.   This was determined based on current sales trends within the stores.  Prices are the same as in the stores, and promotions, sales, and specials will be as well.   Product descriptions will be detailed, and alternate pictures will be provided to prevent potential returns for misrepresentation of the product.

Now that domain is established and registered, and the prices and descriptions determined, it is time to put it all together.   The next step is determining a webhosting company.   Ideally, we will be on Google search, Bing and additional search engines based on our keywords.  Graze Clothing Corporation will also need to establish a payment option, for the new E-commerce site, which will consist of both PayPal and credit card.   This gives consumers more than one option when purchasing their desired product.

We will use WAMP, which is when the package runs on window operating systems.   Go to the database setting screen.  This is where the data base type is determined and ensures the default remains WAMP.  Next set the username and password which will be “root” and “root”.

The WAMP manager and this will enable control of the web server from this menu.   You can access phpMYAdmin from the menu along with stopping and starting the web server.   To change the default settings of WAMP, open up the Crimson Editor, and go to the C drive.   Follow bin>mysql>mysql5.1.33 and open fill called my.  You can then change your password to “root” and save the file.

Now from the WAMP menu you can delete any and all files that have built up in htdocs folder.   From the WAMP menu select MySQL > Service > Restart Service.  You can then export the SQL files of the OSCommerce database structure.  This will include all the unnecessary data.

www.GrazeClothingINC.com is now up and running.   This will monitored on a regular basis to make changes and adjustments as necessary.   Adding more products, pages, and options is available, and can make revisions as the demand requires.  We think that Graze Clothing’s E-commerce will have as much success as our stores currently do.
