Need for speed is a game that is commonly played on computers. It involves a series of car racing where players select cars and race with. The races are at various levels and normally begin with the lowest level. The majority of participants in these games is normally kids, this factor makes my proposal very viable given that gaming normally forms the center of interest for many kids. The aim of this proposal is to invent a way through which gaming can be used to increase a child’s interest in sports (Baker 23). These games are played through the computer using the computer keys as the controls.
A majority of children upon attaining the ages of three and four normally develop an interest in things that are fun to do. In many cases therefore, if they find these games, they really enjoy playing since it is a source of fun for them. The much interest that a child has in this game can be used as a chance to incorporate certain zeal in the mind of a child (Einon17). Need for speed (NFS) provides the child with a car simulator which resembles exactly the inside of a real vehicle. There are also highways where the cars are racing. Normally in this gaming, the winner is awarded money and medals.
The specific aspect that this proposal tends to impact inside the child’s life in the interest of car racing. No child can ever know his/ her destiny; therefore an attempt to incorporate something into the life of that the child can lead to the revelation of his or her destiny. Parents too have various dreams for their children; others want their children to be prominent car drivers while others want their children to specifically be footballers among other games. Impacting this mindset in a child can be a bit hectic given that the environment in which the child is exposed can influence his/ her character.
The impacting on this should be done at a tender age so that the child matures with that mindset. When three to four years old plays the NFS game, there are certain elements that they pick and learn. The greatest and the most obvious are fun and excitement. For four years old, fun is all they grasp in laying the game. To make the child develop an interest in racing, you need to expose the child to much of this game to help him grasp the elements in it. For instance, the art of gaining control over a vehicle and making it speed and overtake the others.
The NFS game in this case will make the child realize the importance of over speeding during race. They will thus develop with the mentality of always maintaining the right speed during a race. The effect of this may result in a child driving toy cars at a high speed in an effort to try implementing the skills learned in the game. Speed is basic in car racing and can greatly motivate a child.
Another important element in racing is the traffic rules. The race comprises of many rules and there are policemen chasing reckless drivers in this competition. This element will help the child learn about the need for obeying traffic rules. In the game, the policemen normally arrest and even fine the reckless drivers for their crimes. A child that is brought up watching the police arrests such criminals in a game will be aware of the persecutions that await them for not obeying the rules of the game. This element will teach the child the need for following traffic rules to compete effectively.
Awards make this game even more wonderful. The points awarded during this game is normally a motivation factor. At three or four years old may not understand, but a seven year old may understand the importance of these points and how they affect their grading system. This Need for speed element will impact the need for wining. The children will develop a mindset of always winning a race to get the maximum awards. Other awards are medals and cash which can be used to purchase more cars. A child playing this game will be well aware of the awaiting prize after the competition.
Another important element of this gaming is the weather and different roads. The game allows users to compete in different weathers and roads. Some roads are very narrow and weather extreme, therefore causing a lot of difficulty in controlling the vehicle. The child will develop a mentality of such and will anticipate meeting such in the cause of their race. In the real life racing, the weather and the type of roads normally determine the winning team. Therefore when a child continuously race in a road that is rough and poor, they develop the feeling of perseverance in the competition. Perseverance here is one of the qualities that the child will develop just by playing the game.
The feature of competing at various levels in the need for speed game is equally very important. A child will begin at level at level one warrior, then advance to level two and finally the highest level. In the highest levels, they compete with very powerful cars and the demand for the game is very high. Here, a child playing at level one will strive to reach level 4 or 5 very fast. This desire if left to develop over time can make a child have a mindset of competing to win and get promoted which is the essence of this race. Many children especially the 10 years old and above, really enjoy playing the high level games. In many cases their interest is normally too much to the extent of wanting to exercise in a real car.
With all these, achieving our target of making a child gain interest in gaming can be achieved. Along side this; the child should be taken to the DMVs to get a driving license upon attainment of the required age. This quality or attribute can be developed in a child at childhood to make the inner desire great. Many car racers get their motivation from the prize that lies ahead of them; therefore they will compete aggressively to earn their desired prize. The need for speed video game can greatly benefit a child and motivate them towards their career attainment (Plummer 42). Such a career can lead the child into greatness and make them achieve the greatest reward and fame world wide. If implemented, children can learn various talents and develop them effectively.
