How to Use Online Video Tools, Coursework Example

The relevance of this assignment is that it allowed me to learn how to use online video editing tools. The online video editing tool used for this assignment was Clipchamp. When creating the music video, I downloaded two .mov files from the library of congress: the “Mounted police charge” and another video on “President McKinley reviewing the troops at the Pan-American Exposition.” I selected the two videos because they were a representation of American history. Once the .mov video files were downloaded from the cite, the process of creating a video on Clipchamp began. The first step was to export both videos into online video editing software. The widescreen option (3:16) was selected as the format of the screen. The drag and drop option was used to select the music downloaded from the library of congress (available in the download folder on the local disc of the computer). This was an important milestone as it offered a chance of exploring ways I can harness the immense possibilities of video and music editing available online.

I had an exciting experience exploring the various editing features available in the Clipchamp website. After the files had been exported to the software, it took around 2 minutes to convert them into a suitable format for video editing. After the upload was complete, it was not time to drag and drop the video on to the timeline to edit it to the project. Once the two videos were added to the timeline, the “fit to screen” option was used to enhance the visual representation of the video while editing the combination of the videos.

Hopeful Process 06 music was first added to the library. Both audio and music were split evenly throughout the duration to allow proper editing of the sound fade as the music was playing. The relevance of sound variation is that it allowed setting different tones throughout the entire video. Also, music was not playing steadily throughout the video. Thus, the volume transition was effective in improving the interaction between sound and image. For instance, the intense horse ride was characterized by a higher volume when compared to the slow. As the riders approached the foreground, the music became more intense. It means the volume of the music was used to set the pace at which the riders were riding their horses. Concerning this approach, I noticed that the pitch of the music volume could be employed to depict the message displayed in the video.

The effect was an essential component of improving the visual representation of the music video. When editing, the Viprowave filter was used to enhance the visuals. A title to the compiled videos was added to add more information on what the video entailed. The “Fade through White” transition effect was used to merge the two video files. Once the editing process was done, it was now time to export the video. After the editing process was done, the final video was trimmed to meet the instruction requirements. Before downloading, I selected the 1080 resolution because it offered a clear visual representation. Also, the final file was compressed so that I could use less time uploading it. Without a doubt, no special editing skills are required to produce a high-quality video.
