Introduction

Advanced practice nursing expands upon existing issues and resources and demonstrates a higher level of understanding and knowledge of the factors that impact patient care and that shape health policy in the United States (Milstead, 2013). Nurses working at an advanced level provide a significant layer of support in improving the quality of healthcare services and work collaboratively with other experts in the field to achieve the desired levels of growth and change that will have a positive and meaningful impact on patient care outcomes (Milstead, 2013).

Analysis

In the US, there are considerable advantages associated with technology-based solutions and their impact on healthcare delivery (Harvard School of Public Health, 2013). Healthcare in the modern era is becoming increasingly dependent on the development of new ideas and approaches to information sharing and privacy, such as the expansion of electronic health records (Harvard School of Public Health, 2013). Healthcare information technologies are designed to promote cost efficiency and strength in the context of healthcare practice and to be effective in addressing the needs of patients on a more consistent basis (Blum, 2011). Most importantly, healthcare delivery must be cohesive and appropriate in meeting the needs of patients and in determining how to best address outcomes that will be effective in expanding knowledge and resources to improve quality of life (Kovner & Knickman, 2011).

Conclusion

The ever-changing landscape of healthcare in the United States requires the utilization of technology and other resources in order to address the challenges of healthcare, including preserving quality and improving outcomes. These factors require an efficient use of technology-based resources and an opportunity to examine the different constructs of care that impact patients effectively. It is important to address these challenges and to be cognizant of the issues that must be addressed by experts in order to achieve effective outcomes and to demonstrate a high level of support for the needs of those requiring healthcare services in the United States.
