• Learn about “taxation” without representation
• Learn about America’s Founding Fathers
• S. Constitution

Materials:

• Textbook: U.S. History, by Ben Franklin (6^th edition)
• Notebook
• Stationary: Pencil, Rubber, Sharpener, Ruler

Procedures:

• Give students the guideline to do papers
  • Research papers on one of the founding fathers
  • Cite resources properly
• Show them how to locate scholarly resources on the web
  • Government websites
  • Universities Resource Webs
  • Interactive websites
• Allocate 20% of the class time to questions and discussions
• Encourage them to use school’s writing center
  • Mandatory for final class paper
• Give bi-monthly documentaries/movies assignment
  • Two assignments during the semester

Evaluation Criteria:

• Class assignments and papers (30%)
• Documentaries/Movies (20%)
• Class Discussion (20%)
• Final Exam (30%)

Class Grades:

• 90%-100% = A
• 80%-89% = B
• 70%-79% = C
