Part one

There are different kinds of owls with various sizes. Some are small and others are big depending from where they come. An example is sported Owl which lives in United states and parts of Mexico. The female weighs 23 oz while the male weighs 21 oz (Adele, 2001). The average weight of sported owl will be 1/2(21+23) oz = 22 oz.   If 16 oz is one pound, 22 oz will be (22*1)/16 = 1.375 pounds.

The wingspan L in feet of owl using Rockswold 2006’s formulae will be;

L = 2.43 * W^0.3326, but W = 1.375

L = 2.43*1.375^0.3326

L = 2.7015 feet

Though there are various kinds of owl, but sported owl found mostly in United States and Mexico weighs averagely 1.375 pounds and have average wingspan of 2.7015 feet.

Rational function is T = (AB)/ (A+B), which gives the time, T, it takes for two workers to complete a particular task where A & B represent the time it would take for each individual worker to complete the identical task.

Example

A farm of 100m by 100m would take me 48 hour to dig. Suppose Joe is weak and takes three times my time, she would clear the firm in 144 hours. Working together and taking A as my time and B as Joe’s, (A=48 and B =144), then T will be;

T = (48*144)/ (48+144)

T = 6912/192

T = 36 hours

It would take 36 hours if both of us are working on the firm to clear it.
