Essay

The video watched on YouTube for this topic presents an intriguing topic regarding the issue of diversity in social settings. The video scene entails a character referred to as Felix. Felix is arrested for scalping tickets and then decides to act as his own defense attorney in the court of law. The dilemma existing in this scene is the issue of assumption taken by the litigating individual. In my own opinion, I would totally agree that the scene showcases how there exists many different people in this world.

The social difference between people is often seen in the social problems, like the one witnessed in this video regarding the issue of social conversation. This can be attributed to the civilized conversation that happened between the claimant and defendant earlier on. Well, Felix attempted to establish a conversation with aim of giving her the extra ticket. Miss Beth’s’ thought or assumption was that Felix wanted to sell the extra ticket he had at higher price, conferring to the way he was taking to her.

The irrational attitude taken by Miss Beth of having the having preconceived belief that Felix was ticket scalping is exactly what brought about the social issue or presented in the video. The cultural differences and diversity in the society controls a lot of the reactions or attitude and behavior people direct towards each other.

The social issue prejudiced belief presented in the case example given in the reading just shows how someone can be deceived about a particular group of cultural practices or people. Having negative opinions regarding a group of individuals causes a lot of social concern in the modern society especially when it comes to workforce diversity. A complex and diverse workforce at the work place ought to be encouraged in order to promote organizational progression.
