This is a research study that is design to find out the effectiveness and the success of an intervention program on individuals who are obese and living with type 2 diabetes. The effectiveness of the intervention program is to be studied over some period of time. This program is meant to keep track of the various changes that can take place in women within a given period of time. Such changes include weight variations or changes, nutrition style among these women as required of them and how fast the women are losing weight. The purpose of the study is to help understand whether this intervention program can be helpful in building healthier and more effective lifestyles.

The social change implications of this study are in a way of varied nature. Firstly, the outcome of the study may lead to individuals with type 2 diabetes opting to change their eating habits. This is followed by some social challenges. For instance, some African American living with these conditions may opt to change their eating patterns. This will hence lead to changes in the society or in the family since women are the ones who control the patterns of eating in most of the societies.

Nutritional recommendation of the study will likely lead to the alteration of the types of food that a given society or family is going to take. Such findings, as the best food for such patients will alter the way of feeding in the society.

The dietary suggestion of the study will shape the way of life of the society as each and every individual moves to take preventive measures to avoid the condition meeting them. The social culture of such a society is therefore likely to be altered as far has the eating habits are concerned.
