The OS I would recommend is Windows 7 Professional. This operating system comes with drivers for most hardware components and also can support old windows XP programs in Windows XP Mode. Pioneer BDC-202 optical drive writes on Blue Ray drives which are capable of holding data of up-to 25GB of data which is about 5times larger than normal 4.7GB DVDs; this can be used to store backups apart from the hard drives. GForce GT 240 graphics card consumes relatively less power of about 70W. The internal memory of this graphic card 512MB which increases its performance by being able to temporarily hold large amounts of data during processing.. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 provides high processing speeds due to its 64bit support and the internal 2 cores. Windows XP Mode within Windows 7 Professional runs on Virtual PC is only achievable in processors that support Virtualization e.g. Intel Core 2 Duo E6550. WD S25 hard drive offers data rates of up-to 128 Mb/s which also increases system’s processing speed. Its 300GB disk space offers sufficient backup space.
