The MBA Retail in the Banking and Financial Industry, Cover Letter Example

Greetings!

I am forwarding this letter of motivation in consideration with my desire to apply for a scholarship under the MBA Retail in Banking and Financial program offered at the Alma Graduate School. I am basically an MSC International Banking and Financial Studies student who wants to seek a challenging role in the field of Investment Banking. The experiences that I had in the field of investment and financial operations for the past few years gave me a chance to see a lot of what the industry has to offer and were able to inspire me to hope to become better in the industry in the future.

My remarkable performance as a student lead me to becoming an asset to most of the organizations I have worked for such as that of the Almaz-Antey Group of Companies (2009), the BDO Unikon in (2008) the Reiffeisen Bank in (2007) and most recently the UniCredit Leasing Company. Considering the different positions I have had to take within each company, I could say that I have grown so much especially in seeing how the theories of finance actually works in the actual world of business industries. Nevertheless, I do not intend that my growth would stop here. In fact, I am ready to accept more challenges and embrace the possibility of gaining better knowledge so as to improve the way I use the principles of banking and finance in my job as well as in my personal dealings.

Entering this new realm of upper-hand learning, I do realize that there are challenges I must face. I am planning to face all these aspects of transformation and development the way I did with the past years of my struggles in reaching where I am right now, through perseverance and determination. Personally, I do believe that to be able to grasp the gist of new learning, perseverance and effort must be applied; and I am more than determined to apply the same principle especially now that I am hoping to enter the program offered by the institution.

Failure however is a part of every success. I can say that there were instances when I disappointed myself in the process of completing my tasks in relation to the positions I am filling in within the companies I worked for. One particular failure was when I was first entering my first employment opportunity and I failed to see through the rules and followed my own implied knowledge about the process of completing my job. I almost ended up losing my position, nevertheless, accepting my mistake and willingly accepting counsel allowed me to learn more from my wrong act than to wallow over the fact that I missed an important rule.

I expect that in line with the ideal desire of furthering my studies, there would be instances of failure. I am no perfect person. I may have the desire to be the best, but I always admit the fact that mistakes often happen to teach one certain valuable lessons. In this course I am about to take, I plan to treat every disappointment and possible mistake to be a stepping stone towards improvement and personal development.
