The challenge of offering undocumented immigrants medical care has been reinforced, contested and then disputed by numerous states. In America, many people feel that the undocumented immigrant is putting a burden on the United States economy. According to Beccara, Androff, Ayon, and Castillo (2012),”An accurate account of the scope of undocumented immigration is impossible, however it is estimated that in 1990 there were 3.5 million undocumented immigrants in the United States”. However, retrospectively, many individuals in United States take advantage and reap the benefits of the cheap labor of the undocumented immigrant. a lot of people also demonstrate deep resentment. The resentment comes from proposed cuts savings by the government that will impact future benefits for American citizens that spent their entire lifetime to have these benefits.

The undocumented immigrant has its advantages for seasonal businesses because farmers can bring in their crop at a profit. The undocumented immigrant is known to work for cheaper wages. In addition, the business owner does not have to pay for expensive benefits packages. The flipside is the child born in America is automatically recognized as an American citizen putting burden on the U.S. economy. Another advantage is undocumented immigrants buy homes and apartment’s helping the economy. One of the most important contributions undocumented immigrants make is massive labor force they provide for the United States. Many of them work for the standard minimum wage without the luxury of benefits. The construction industry and hotel industry employee thousands of undocumented immigrants. To lose that working population would impact the United States for years into the future. What happen to give me your tired and poor meaning an immigrant was welcome in the United States? A number of viewpoints stemmed from biases from their upbringing. It’s not until the individuals immerse themselves in figuring out that diversity in comprehending other people opinions can they have an understanding of why numerous want to reside the comfort of the” American Dream”. When you have not taught to be thankful for your good life, those people are inclined to look down upon the people who are much less fortunate. Rather than extending your own hand to pull a person up, most are so selfish and inclined not to help them. Undoubtedly, it’s merely through training that you can empathize with another’s financial and ethnic dissimilarities. That is the reason why you need to discover some form of medical care form that may support the uninsured community disregarding their standing. It is discovered that the unfavorable part it’s that it will be much more financially expensive to give medical care to immigrants who are unauthorized in the country. Many people think there are too many undocumented immigrants that are burdening the healthcare system.

Pouge’s (2010) study found

Today there are approximately 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States. According to the Census Bureau about 35% have health insurance through a spouse or their employer. However, an estimated 7 million are without any form of healthcare. The majority of these people are living well under the poverty level. (pg.1)

Undocumented immigration is a debatable matter in recent times. There are numerous variables why immigrants leave their home countries. There are lots of moral concerns associated with undocumented immigration, and they originate from the fact that undocumented immigrants are not technically documented as being in the country. Undocumented immigration is furthermore typically known as “illegal” immigration, and what makes it prohibited is when an individual flees their native born community into another country while violating the immigration laws and regulations of the desired destination. Before moving into the moral difficulties encompassing undocumented immigrants, it is essential to recognize both what can cause individuals to turn into undocumented immigrants, and precisely what affects undocumented immigrants that leave their country? There are various variables which will lead a person to illegally go across a boundary into the United States of America. The most popular cause is economic; nevertheless additional causes consist of persecution in their home region, and a county that is riddle with war and death. Most of the unauthorized immigrants in the United States originate from Central America, especially Mexico because the border is close to United States cities. According to Akincigil, Mayers, and Fulghum (2011), “Overall, Mexicans comprise about six in ten (59%) of the estimated 11.9 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S”.

In a number of these situations, one member of the family (commonly a male) will go across the border into the United States so that you can try to make additional money and deliver it home to his loved ones.

Pros and Cons:

The immigrants in the United States do not pay taxes, social security, sales tax and income tax that help our economy. The immigrant workers will work for cheap allowing many seasonal owners to make a profit. Undocumented immigrants do have to pay for healthcare and many businesses do not have to spend the money on benefits. Undocumented immigrants flee their county because of violent crimes committed. Many countries will allow their worst criminals to leave the county for the United States. However, the undocumented immigrant buys goods and services which help boost the Unites States economy. It’s a fact that some undocumented immigrants contribute to social security funds; however, they do not claim it. This adds to our revenue for the United States. There are many pros and cons to undocumented immigrants but the argument still remains undivided among the masses. However, it is very clear that undocumented immigrants clearly have some good benefits for the United States. The immigrants contribute to our economy including the additional revenue from the real estate they purchase and rent.
