Berliner Weisse is a German beer from 1809 that dates back to the 16th century. It is a cloudy, sour wheat beer originally from Northern German, Berlin. It was the most popular drink in Berlin in 19 century, and 700 breweries made it. A number of Canadian and American brewers produce beer in the Berliner Weisse style and name it the same. This article seeks to elucidate and explain this product’s product launch.

The market needs for 1809 Berliner Weisse are different across different countries. These markets needs involve factors that are changing in the market and the factors that are changing the business. The market of Berliner Weisse beer keeps growing, and people seem to be drinking more and more of it. The companies producing this beer need to produce more because of the growing market. The high quality of the beer makes its demand higher and higher. The demand does not equal the supply; it is more and calls for more supply. The numbers of consumers are ever growing and thus the need for more supply. The control of this product is not effectively carried out because of low supply compared to the marked demand.

Market growth shows the level of which a market gets after along trading period. In reference to the above product, it is a generality of how the market has grown to absorb product. The different tastes and preferences by individuals in the markets result in a large acceptance and preference towards light beer; because of the law on alcoholic content restricting driving. The product has also had a large base on the varieties that are on offer (Shepard, 2001). It has three key labels Ein Rotes, Ein Grunes, and Mit Schuss that appeal to customers. The tradition of the product gets appeal on different members of the customers who may want an enjoyable matured beer. Some ask for a 25%-30% wheat content giving to give distinct taste. The above reasons show how the market has grown towards the product.

Strengths

This product existed for long and has been in preference since that time. Napoleon the then emperor of Europe had a taste of it and had it as one of its favored brews he named it the champagne of the north. The brew also has had a reputation of the most favored summer time drinks. The brew has a large variety to it namely Ein Rotes, Ein Grunes, Mit schuss. This makes it be appealing to a large base of the customers because of their different tastes. This taste allows the product preference in making cocktails.

The Berliner Weisse beer contains low alcohol content that is a potent health wise for the human body (Nachel & Ettlinger, 2012). The alcohol content present in the beer is precise for enjoyment at the same time good for the consumers’ health. Unlike other alcoholic beverages, these products exist in different forms, and all of them contain low alcohol content.The Berliner Weisse beer is widespread all over North America and Eastern Europe. The widespread and popularity of this beer enables it to sell all over Europe. The popularity of this beer keeps growing increasing the companies’ market and sales.

Despite the popularity and widespread of the beer, its price and all other products are affordable. The affordability of this beer increases its popularity because of the high quality and affordable products.

Weaknesses

The beer is getting popular, but the growths of the Berliner Weisse breweries are not matching the growth of the customers. Customers are increasing, but their supply does not fit the demand.With the increasing popularity of this beer, the breweries’ need to provide or put up more beer shops than the previous due to increasing demand. However, the beer shops are limited, and the beer exists in remarkably few countries. The suppliers need to make sure the supply is stable and available across Europe.

The beer company faces competition from other monumental beer companies like Heineken. The competitors provide equally well a beer as the Berliner Weisse. This stiff competition hinders maximum sales from the company.

Product Offering/Product Definition

Their product offers different things including enjoyment and alcohol. This beer provides customers with an alcohol level that is considerate of their health at the same time providing enjoyment. It also exists in different products like raspberry and waldmeistersirup. It may be varied with different drinks including a pale lager to reduce sourness (Schulte-Peevers, 2010).

Product Identification

This beer has its own unique bottle, color, taste, and scent. Its service with a straw is part of its trademark and serving in a giant glass bowl.The selection of this product is because of its growing market and its uniqueness in serving and its originality. This beer is precise in its taste and its serving is unique, attracting, and full of style.
