Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, two of the most trending names in the internet today have a reason to be noticed and acknowledged for the efforts. They happen to be the most prominent individuals to make the news due to the fact that they are both running for the presidential position in one of the most powerful countries around the globe. Four weeks away from election and the campaign operations handled under the administration of both campaign teams [democrats and republicans] have garnered a considerable amount of popularity based on the public’s response.
Although this is considered to be America’s most expensive campaign era, it could be understood that such an occurrence is given way due to the idea that both candidates has had to put so much effort in proving their stand. The current issues facing the United States involving economy, health, education and even matters concerning social issues creates a grinding ground for both candidates as they face the “judgment day”. Such issues of concern include the following:
Economy | 48% |
Health care | 10% |
Deficit | 9% |
Social Security | 7% |
Voter priorities |
Relatively, the amount of the money spent for campaign helps only a little on how the people would actually recognize the stand of each candidate relating to the many issues that the country faces at present. What matters today is the intellectual capacity of both individuals as they respond to the important questions of the people that implicate their position on the most influential controversies in the country at present.
Unemployment in America, which is currently at its 8% of height draws so much attention on the concerns of the people. The question of whether or not the candidate would be able to change the pattern of living that America is currently facing remains to be a top concern for the society. Along with this, social issues such as gay marriage and abortion continue to loom over the minds of the people as these matters could set a reputational recognition for them and their country. Notably, the change of course on the part of the democrats [as they now cling to the idea of discussing more morally related issues] has allowed them the chance to garner the attention of those who do not support the ideal morality that the republicans suggest. The republicans on the other hand respond to this issue of controversy through noting that they might need to pass through the rights that gays and women wanting abortion may have to actually save their lives through imposing better principles of improved healthcare policies [even if it needs to include some moral values into it]. What then is the result of this shifting of idealisms and proving one’s stance on the issue at hand?
The following poll results from ___ could provide a vivid presentation of the outcome of the campaign efforts of both parties:
Obama (47) | 47% |
Romney (46) | 46% |
Presidential race |
Favourable | 47% |
Unfavourable | 45% |
Opinion of Romney |
Favourable | 49% |
Unfavourable | 48% |
Opinion of Obama |
Obama | 46% |
Congress | 10% |
Approval |
Take note from these results that Obama remains on the lead which might actually mean that the American elections of 2012 might involve a re-election scenario that would put Obama back in the seat. This would give him a better chance to continue what he has started in the so-called “American Rehabilitation” especially in relation to the country’s economy and how it tries to accept more immigrants while retaining strength to its natural descents.
