Essay

What services would you offer to these people?

There is no doubt that, they would need healthcare. If they do not have any health insurance attempts will be made to have them enroll in plans offered by my organization, which will enhance their eligibility for high quality services during this recuperative period. Also, it would avoid incurring medical bills after they have been relocated to their former residences if it is possible. My organization could provide them with free health screening for common disorders such as hypertension; diabetes and obesity.

Communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS will screened and reported too. After this phase of the intervention is over health care services my organization offers would be communicated for follow up treatment. Medications could be sold at reduced costs, especially those pertaining to diabetes and hypertension.  Temporary clinical services whereby diabetics could receive free supplies for blood sugar testing could be obtained. Free blood pressure testing  can  be conducted also (O’Hare, 2000).

What promotional strategies would you use to promote your Organization’s healthcare services to these people?

In selling health plans initial reduction in premiums will be offered with a sustaining price for one year before any increases. Medication co-payments can be reduced until the economic situation is restored to normal. Persons who receive Medicaid and Medicare will be encouraged to modify their coverage by accessing a supportive insurance benefits to cover the cost of care. Further promotional strategies would be allowing these residents free access to some of the providers in my organization. They will get to know the health care providers and when selecting physicians and specialists in managed care programs the organization’s providers would have been marketed (Bond & Bond, 2004).

How will their financial situation affect your pricing plan?

Their financial situation would affect pricing plan based on the type of insurance coverage they carry. Residents who are covered by Medicaid and Medicare prices may not impact the type of services they receive. However, the uninsured offer a serious challenge during this period of time because they would not have the ability to pay for health care. Pricing would then be regulated to what they can pay at the time or credited to their account (Thomas  &  Reed, 2002).

What types of resources from your State could be Utilized and included in your marketing plan

The most obvious resources are the department of human resources; non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross Association and International Organizations that respond to disasters. They will make a contribution towards funding health care services during a disaster for citizens/people who have been displaced.
