A Day at the Ballpark, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 301

Essay

Last Sunday my sweet daughter and I spent a wonderful day at the ballpark. We went to the Chase Field to see a game of Diamondbacks (Arizona) versus Brewers (Milwaukee). I do like the sport itself, and feel truly excited each time when watching the game. However, I believe my daughter feels much more excited about the greatness of the show and sight that one observes from the spectator seating rather than about the game itself. The view was really great in fact: when we entered the baseball stadium, with its neatly cut bright green grass, so fresh and attractive as a gorgeous fluffy carpet, with a diamond-shaped baseball field of dirt on it which contains three bases, home plate, and the pitcher’s mound, it took our breath away.

The game itself was fascinating as well. We were supporting Diamondbacks. Unfortunately, they fell to their opponents with a score of 5-3. However, even a disappointing finale could not spoil the general impression of festive occasion that we had from the game. The athletes were moving fast and deftly in front of the grandstand that was towering above the field as huge hills covered with a forest of human heads and hands. Full of energy and small as ants they were moving quickly all over the surface of the field. The members of the sport teams were cooperating with clockwork precision.  We were observing their actions with enthusiasm, giving out involuntary shouts and whoops from time to time. We had some hotdogs and Coke, and they seemed to us as delicious as never before. I guess we both enjoyed the game and had a really great time since we spend it just like a couple of best friends. We had a lot of fun and now have even more nice moments to recollect.
