At times, their conversations can be misunderstood because of the various fallacies that are used in the dialect. 2. I know right! I so did not want to come back to school today.
  3. C. Did you hear we have a new English teacher? I believe her name is Mrs. Jones.
  4. S. The new English teacher is great. One of my neighbors told me so. (Fallacies of Generalization/Weak Induction)
  5. That is awesome, hopefully she will not be crazy about us using our cell phones in class.

  12. I have to get to first bell, will I see you at lunch?
  13. C. Yes, I will text you and we will talk about where to go to get food. See you at 12:00
  14. S. Choi, see you then!

  16. S. I don’t know, something cheap and fast, how about McDonalds or Burger King?
  17. I went to McDonalds and got a cheeseburger that was greasy and full of fat. Burger King’s cheeseburgers are greasy so they must be full of fat. (Fallacies of  Generalization/Weak Induction)
  18. Seriously, Cathy, that doesn’t even make sense, you say the stupidest things.
  19. Either you eat the cheeseburger or you anorexic. You told me you don’t eat cheeseburgers, therefore it is clear you are anorexic. (Fallacies of Presumption)
  20. I am not anorexic because I don’t like cheeseburgers. Seriously Sarah, look at the size of my butt, it does not scream anorexic.

  4. Thanks. He is really good looking and he is so fun to look at.
  5. Sigh…well have a good time.

Later that month………….

  1. S. I cannot believe you hooked up with Shawn at the party. When did you and Billy break up?
  2. C. We didn’t breakup and you cannot say anything. Shawn was a mistake, and I don’t want to lose Billy over it.
  3. You cheated on Billy?
  4. S. You need to give me $200 or I am going to tell him that you are cheating on him. (Fallacies of Relevance)
  5. C. I knew you were jealous that Billy asked me out and not you, but you are threatening someone who is supposed to be your best friend?
  6. That was before you showed your true colors and cheated on him. I figured I might as well make money off you doing dirty things too.
  7. You do what you want, I am not paying you to keep my mistake a secret. It’s not like telling Billy will make him ask you out!!
  8. Forget you Cathy, you deserve everything you get!

The Next Month………..

  1. I am so sorry I said those horrible things.
