Research Paper

A & R Logistics was established In Ottawa; IL over forty five years ago.  A & RGlobalLogistics has continued to evolve into the primary provider of plastic and transportation for flow able dry merchandise.  A & RLogistics is one of the primary logistics service providers in the United States.  A & R Logistics has eight hundred trucks and packaging facilitiesstrategically located across the United States.  The combination of the trucking fleet, in addition to the technology applied in the supply chain cause A & RGlobalLogistics to be correctly positioned in the marketplace with regards to purveying state of the art transportation supply chain se5rvices.  These transportation services are provided through A & R Global Logistics through one of its affiliates (A & R Transport, 2014).

Leadership Team

The administrative team at A & R Global Logistics is composed of a number of qualified individuals.   Mr.  Mark R.  Holden serves as the Chief Executive Officer and chairman of the Board at A & R Global Logistics.  Mr.: Holden is assisted by a very capable staff which includes Richard A.  Mitchell Jr.  Mr.  Mitchell is the President and vice -chairman of A& R Global Logistics.  Mr.  Anthony W.  Lennart serves as the Treasurer and the chief financial officer.  David D.  Janowski is the Senior Vice-president who is responsible for marketing.  Michael E.  Fulmer serves as the Secretary and the Senior Vice-president of risk management and legal affairs.  Thomas L.  Culver serves in the transport and packaging d3epartment as the Chief financial officer.  Robert E.  Blanchard serves as the Vice-president in charge of the technology implantations.  Robert N.  Dotson serves in the packaging sales department as Vice- president.  Michael J.  Hogan serves in the marketing and sales department as vice-president (A& R Transport, 2014).

A substantial component of the value that is produced by A& R Global Logistics delivers the experiential knowledge of the staff.  A & R Global Logistics possesses a combined over one hundred years of experience with 3PL carrier and shipper modes of transport.  The experiential knowledge in conjunction with the latest optimization and planning technologies has the potential of supplying clients with enhanced operating efficiencies, visibility and information resources that result in a decreased expense for transportation (A & R Transport, 2014).

A & R Global Logistics is a member of a variety of associations that are dedicated to sustainable transportation of bulk materials through proactive planning.  These associations include Transcaer,National Tank and Truck Carriers, the Plastics Industry trade Association, the TransportIntermediaries Association, Operation Clean Sweep and Responsible Care.  A & R Global Logistics membership in these organizations demonstrates the concern that the management at A& R Global Logistics have towards the future (A & R Transport, 2014).
