Essay

I wish to highlight the importance of emotional intelligence as I submit my application for a job in your esteemed organization. Achievement of success is not an easy task and much more than hands-on experience and book knowledge are requisite in effective execution of roles assigned in the workplace. Through emotional intelligence, working with colleagues is relatively easy because I have the potentials of understanding and empathizing with the perspective of colleague workers which is imperative in fostering a sturdy working relationship. Emotional intelligence has also enhanced my listening skills and flexibility, thus readily embracing changes as well as ideas generated by workmates. This is an epitome of appreciating other members as valuable contributors to the overall success of the organization.

Through emotional intelligence, I have extremely high capacity of skills that facilitate me to regulate, appraise as well as direct my individual emotions. The tasks assigned to me therefore shall not need any form of supervision from top business management. My intrinsic emotional intelligence makes me proficient in identification of feelings of frustrations and disappointment and consequently, I am able to take appropriate measures in good time. I am therefore capable of controlling my emotions and adopt the relevant strategies and perseverance in facing any imminent negative effects. Emotional intelligence is a great aspect for my personal motivation as I conduct my duties in the workplace. The emotional intelligence inherent in me has a positive contribution in uplifting morale as well as confidence of team members which consequently promote my satisfaction in the work place and the satisfaction of members of my team for the benefit of the company.
