Analysis of Adaptations of the Various Mangas by the Group Clamp

The Manga makes the Japanese culture fascinating in the great use of imagery and ideas of postmodernism, feminism as well as social allegories that have been used in this form of art for decades. The manga carries a lot of symbolism which in most cases evolves into modern forms of art (Kinsella, p.22).  Although the idea of the manga and anime bear a Japanese origin, more modern uses of such forms of art represent other forms of culture. The American Kid is a good example of a Japanese culture that exhibits the American humor. The Japanese celebrate the manga at every chance that they get. In this paper, we shall discuss various forms of manga characters and how these forms of art have transformed the art and literature fields as represented by the animes.

This paper shall discuss Analisys of Adaptations of the various Mangas by the group CLAMP. Indeed, the Japanese manga have for decades been used to represent the artistic pictures of the situations that the society should experience at large. They are hence the mirror that ties us with the supernatural world together. Although they have evolved from inanimate art forms to more animated forms in the form of TV shows and movies, the Japanese manga continue to be more unique in many aspects. In doing this analysis, we shall keep in mind the ideas of postmodernism, social allegories, and feminism that may have resulted in the difference between the original and the adaptation.

The Japanese manga displayed various aspects of Japanese culture through the use of imagery. This was evident in the use of decorative imagery which is synonymous with the feminism of the Japanese culture. For instance, the Japanese manga had lots of these features. The Japanese manga began as a friendly passionate picture which was later transformed into a TV show that represented a romantic show. A young college student falls in love with the Japanese manga. The Japanese manga is a computer image which stupefies the young college student (Gravett, p.31). The facial expression of the Japanese manga is one that displays humbleness. On the other hand, feminism is also represented in the Japanese manga through the pink color, dress and long charming hair.

In addition, the eyes of the Japanese manga and facial expression also aid in the advancement of a feminine look. These are the artistic features that make the young college students get attracted to the manga when the Japanese manga gets animated. The anime character of Japanese manga gives her more social allegories thus enabling the Japanese manga to attract male animate and human attention. In addition, the name of Japanese manga changes effectively when the young college student who has fallen in love with her decides to name her Chii, since this is the only name that he can think about and utter (Macwilliams, p.19). The other forms of Japanese manga look different from Japanese manga basically in the expression of the art. While Japanese manga appears to be flying in midair, other forms of Japanese manga take a relaxing posture and gesture which represent a friendly character. The other forms of Japanese manga clenches his fist in the Figure 2 which shows that he is courageous and ready to take on his enemy. He is thus represented as a strong character. It is for this reason that the other forms of Japanese manga are given a higher riddance in comparison to Japanese manga. Animating the Japanese manga is evident in modern TV shows. Ideas of postmodernism are indeed evident in the Japanese manga and represented through the flying of the Japanese manga; it seems as if the Japanese manga is in a jovial mood.

The cute antics of the manga has made the Japanese art to become very famous and widely used in many media forms, including the comical movies within the Japanese culture. It is evident that the cute looks of Chii have spurred other girls to recreate her and admire her even more. More artistic styles and cute costumes have been added to the Chii thus making it to become even more appealing. The CLAMP developed the Japanese manga in order to represent the female person as a powerful force of attraction and a future influence of art and imagery. The manga’s beautiful dress and hair being blown by the wind were synonymous with a beautiful girl that was positioned to attract suitors.

The manga’s posture and facial gestures are nothing to ignore. They bear aspects of postmodernism. The American Kids TV show is one such example where characters of feminine nature are assigned to a violent and impunities nature. Subsequently, this is indeed a contradiction of the postmodernism aspects. Hence, the Japanese clamp group was trying to communicate the fact that women are becoming more aggressive in the modern world and gaining more power and authority to be able to conquer what previously appeared to be their worst obstacles. Comparing Japanese manga to other forms of cultural manga, the two characters are a direct contradiction of the current character. Indeed, the character of this manga represents the future unique art that the Japanese clamp group is likely to develop. Indeed, the character of this manga represents the future unique art that the Japanese clamp group is likely to develop. This emanate from the character apportioned to the other forms of Japanese manga as a doll that has great relationship with the humans. The other forms of Japanese manga represent a majestic being. This is evident from his look, gesture and posture. He poses lots of power and authority. All the arts by the clamp group in the Japanese culture represent aspects of postmodernism and bear many features of feminine characters including the color theme and facial expression. The Japanese manga represents the artistic features that make the young college students get attracted to the manga when the Japanese manga gets animated. The anime character of Japanese manga gives her more social allegories thus enabling the Japanese manga to attract male animate and human attention. The manga is also given a masculine face which is evident from hair and his aggression in the world towards other beings. As an inanimate manga, other forms of Japanese manga could not be able to reveal a lot in terms of his character and looks. However, the transformation into TV series and the American Kid, we can succinctly be able to deduce aspects of art that reveal the social character of the doll (Hutcheon, p.11). The Kodansha Comics picture represents violence from an artistic point of view. The imagery used in this manga is powerful in elaborating on the feminine violence that has always been represented by postmodern media ideologies.

The Japanese manga also represents supernatural powers that are evidently displayed via the wings attached to the manga. The facial expression and gesture of the manga denote aspects of the stern nature of such characters. The non-smiling posture tells a lot about the manga’s character. The use of feminine aspects is represented in the pink color which often represents the feminine person. A closer look at the picture reveals that the manga wind blowing past her is so strong, yet it cannot blow her away. She is represented by the clamp group as a conqueror and a winner. The manga is thus a figure of stern nature of the women world.

The feminine being is represented as a powerful and supernatural influential character capable of destruction. Thus, aspects of animation used in the manga aided in the representation of the manga character in a more discrete manner. Many forms of art that evolved from this manga have been given the violent character of this manga. The American Kids TV show is one such example where characters of feminine nature are assigned to a violent and impunities nature. This is indeed a contradiction of the postmodernism aspects. However, the Japanese clamp group was trying to communicate the fact that women are becoming more aggressive in the modern world and gaining more power and authority to be able to conquer what previously appeared to be their worst obstacles. In fact, the women are using tools that no one would suspect to be bad weapons.

Japanese manga bears several aspects of feminine affiliation and also lots of social aberrations that are fundamentally different from that of Angelic Layer. Indeed, other forms of Japanese manga represent a powerful character with a godlike power to overcome and conquer evil. The other forms of Japanese manga were released by the CLAMP. The other forms of Japanese manga was indeed original in its art forms as the form of art displayed in it was unseen in many other forms of art that the clamp had released before. This particular art is great in communicating through the use of posture and gesture. It is an art that was later used in the TV series, Japanese manga. The smaller manga within the other forms of Japanese manga sits down on the arm of the other forms of Japanese manga in a relaxing posture. On the other hand, the other form of Japanese manga poses a smile and daunts a dress that can be linked to the authority that he has. The art is a true picture of power and authority (Lammers, p.42). Though the other forms of Japanese manga is feminine, aspects of postmodernism are present through the quest for power and authority that most people yearn for in the modern world. The other forms of Japanese manga play a vital role in the anime as a Japanese manga character. Other forms of Japanese manga are animated in an environment where there is an interaction between humans, human-made machines, dolls and godlike powers. The other forms of Japanese manga is represented as having equal godlike powers and thus demands to be respected and worshipped in equal magnitude as the gods.
