The organizations that practices and promotes diversity will developed a well-rounded working climate that cognizant of the importance of diversity. Integrating diversity and organizational transform initiatives will maximize the achievements of most types of organizational change. Almost all primary organizational change entails a cultural change, and a diversity endeavor is cultural modification at its essence. The purpose of diversity is to empower all employees to contribute copiously to the success of the organization. Thus, integrating diversity with strategic organizational goals will help the company recognize the significance of what makes the company truly diversified, innovative, and unique.

The organization that embraces the inevitable issues with conflict will improve employee relationships for the long-term benefits while contributing to the organizationsaccomplishment. A diversity viewpoint can sharpen onesinsight to the organizational identification of differences that lesson the adverse impact of conflict by the management and employees. The best organizations acknowledge that conflict will arise from these differences but diversity training and diversity awareness embraces these differences as constructive success. These differences that cause conflict may be based on employee’s language, values, difference opinions, diverse cultures, and different patterns of thinking. This type of conflict should be encouraged because that single difference can be the key to the company launching a new ideas. The practice of defining diversity for the corporate culture allows the employees to understand the meaning of being diverse, while providing platforms to acknowledge these differences. This process for most organizations is to develop the understanding that all differences will be respected, valued, and appreciated when trying to achieve organizational success. The organization that respect the differences people bring to the work environment the uniqueness of their backgrounds which add to the overall success and innovativesprit.

Describe ways that a government body or a nonprofit organization can engage constituents in its decision-making process.

The first way the government of nonprofit organizations gets the constituents involved in the decision making process is public consultation. The government will ask the public their feeling and thoughts about a specific subject of importance. The public focus group engagesconstituents in the decision-making process. This formal meeting allows the citizens to voice their concerns, addresscurrent decisions, and participant in an official government decision-process. This forum engagement reinforces the people’s belief that their voice can be heard during important national issues that impact the public life. There are several different ways the government or non-profits organizations engages the public with the decision-making process with meetings, hearings, focus groups, and referenda’s. The second method the government non-profit organizations engage constituents is exchanging ideas and information in a formal dialogue. This method is called public participation.The purpose of the communication is to collaborate and share opinions that can lead to agreeable judgment concerning issue of importance. Public participation can describe as citizens polls, citizen panels, and local juries.

What is the difference between ‘push’ and ‘pull’ fundraising? Give a concrete example of each.

The basic main difference between push and pull marketing can be found in how individuals are marketed. In push marketing, the concept is to promote products by pushing in front of the consumers. For push marketing, think about product sales presentations at your supermarket.

Alternatively, in pull marketing and advertising, the strategy would be to grow and maintain a faithful following and entice consumers to the products. The best example of pull marketing is customers that do not need advertising to purchase a specific product. The car industry has several automobile makers that do not need to advertise because the customers come to them because of the name such as Mercedes, Lamborghini, and Porsche. The best example of push marketing is the perfume sections in stores like Macys. The manufacture of Perry Ellis women’s and men’s fragrances provide Macys with incentives for giving out free samples of the product. In addition, new fragrances are introduced that the customer may not know about until they are offer a free sampling of the new fragrance.

What might motivate a business to engage in a partnership with a nonprofit organization or a unit of government?

The business organizations can be motivated to engage in a partnership because they receive grant funding for supporting a nonprofit organization or a unit of the government.The organization can received benefits for supporting at-risk youths which each city has funds those types of programs.The local businesses can benefit by receiving positive public reviews working with non-profit and the financial breaks a partner can received as a charitable cause. Finally, the business that partner with nonprofit can increase their own chances of meeting future clients.

Why are emotional and social intelligence important to a manager’s effectiveness?

The effective manager that invest in the Emotional and Social Intelligence (ESI) methodology will become a better manager when understanding their own feels and others. The managers can utilize ESI to learn self-awareness techniques that allow them to take inventory of themselves. The relationship based ESI strategy is linked to developing manager’s social awareness and interpersonal skills. The manager has to become knowledgeable about the emotional center. The emotional center allows the manager to be in tune with his or her own feelings. The manager is constantly faced with negative emotions or negative behavior of others, however, the mastering of the ESI methods will help the manager stay calm, cool, and collective in stressful situations. The manager that learn how to read others emotions, handle others emotions (relationship management) that will definitely be on the right track to being an effective manager.

One of the key insights to effective organizational change is the leadership being vision and participating during the company change. The leaders in an organization must be up and visible supporting the change alongside of the employees. This builds confidence in teams and motivate others to participation in the change process.

What are three ways that social media can advance an organization’s efforts?

The first way social media can help an organization advance their organizational efforts is promotions. The social media allows the company to market and promote their goals to the social and public media. The second way media can advance a company’s organizational efforts is marketing to new customers without the large cost associated. The social medial has allow even the small companies the ability to engage in a social networking campaign touching millions of potential customers. The third way is the social media can help an organization reach a target audience specific to your organization products and services.

What habits of the heart and of the mind can contribute to the success of managers and leaders?The habit of treating others the way you want to be treated is the matters of the heart. These habits will ensure the manager has an effective team because they respect his professionalism and his heart. The habit of the mind for managers can be consistently making a mental note about the small things a team members does to make the organization meet their goals. The manager has a strong mind that does not change the habits of an effective manager. If the manager has a habit of thinking Win-Win regardless of the barriers the employees with adapt that same attitude which contributes to the success of the teach the manager. A manager that sticks to these habits will be able to synergize and empower others to become quality team members.

Describe two practices that an organization can utilize to ensure a smooth transition to a new CEO or executive director?

The first order of business is ensure the new CEO is given a solid overview of all departments. This allows the CEO to be more comfortable with a synopsis concerning the current business outlook. Many times organizations will hire outside consultants to provide an analysis of the company’s current position to ensure the new CEO has a new prospectus that is not bias. The second practice is allowing the management team to provide a breakdown and analysis of each department to better acquaint the new CEO with the internal practices.
