The development of the society depends on the success of the economic activities taking place. The use of internet for communication purposes ensures timely delivery of goods. It is also vital to note that, it fosters the development of a good relationship between the businesspersons and their customers. The online marketing enables the local manufacturers acquire numerous customers around the globe. These manufacturers may deliver their products to their customers without necessarily having to travel. Conversely, the manufacturers will get their payments via the internet. Therefore, the internet is a crucial tool of communication in the society.

Secondly, the internet enables the members of the society acquire degrees from prestigious universities around the globe. Therefore, the internet revolutionizes the education sector in the society. It is worth noting that, the members of the society can pursue their respective courses online from the comfort of their homes by using the internet. The internet also enables the students acquire relevant information that is essential for their academic successes. Therefore, the internet influences the education sector in the context of the society positively. The embrace of the online education programs cuts down the expenses incurred in the process of learning by the local students.

Thirdly, the internet has also influenced the society positively in that by using the internet, the members of the society are able to initiate the income generating activities. Nowadays, people use the internet to develop products and sell them online. Furthermore, the members of the society are able to seek employment from credible companies online. Therefore, the members make use of the internet to generate income from the comfort of their homes.

Lastly, the internet has influenced negatively on the society in some aspects. The wider usage of the internet has attracted the cyber criminals who defraud the unsuspecting internet users. This is common, and happens when the internet users share their information through the internet. It is imperative that, the users share all sorts of information through the internet. The content of some information shared across the internet are detrimental to uphold of morality in the society. It is essential to note that, the internet accessibility is open to all in the society. The youth and young children may have their character compromised by the negative images displayed by the internet. The access of the restricted programs such as pornography by the young generation of the society encourages moral decadence. This influence has led to the increased prostitution and irresponsible sexual behaviors in the society.

Technology has evolved over time and its advancement is unending. It is important to note that governance has been made easier with the emerging technology. Today, the world exists as a global village. Technology anchors the responsibility of a global citizen in that it enhances the community practices and values. Technology has significantly changed the way in which people pursue knowledge. It is important to note that unlike in the past whereby people use to rely on primary materials to gain knowledge, nowadays people are able to access knowledge from secondary materials such as peer reviewed journals and electronic sources such as the internet. The social networks such as facebook, twitter, flickr, and google + among others gives global citizens a platform to share knowledge on pertinent issues worldwide. Technology addresses the global social concerns in that with the emergence of the social networks, people with common social problems are able to create groups and chat rooms where they can discuss matters affecting them.

There are many challenges and benefits in equal measures of technology and global community. It is imperative that, due to technological advancement, there are many internet scammers. In addition, there are cases of cyber crimes whereby some culprits want to take advantage of the unsuspecting internet users. This is a one big challenge whereby people end up being conned. On the other hand, technology is beneficial in that people are able to market and even sell their products online without necessarily having to move from one country to another. The manufacturers are able to sell their products globally from the comfort of their offices.

In conclusion, it is evident that the internet fosters the development of the society positively. In this regard, the members of the society are able to exchange information via the internet effectively. The internet proves to be the most powerful tool of enhancing globalization. It is clear that the internet fosters the international relationship by easing communication between the entrepreneurs globally. This contributes to the existence of peace and tranquility amongst all nations around the globe. The law enforcement agencies should avert the negative influences posed by the internet such as cyber crimes. The law enforcement agencies should develop strong information technology infrastructure that sensors the accessibility of some information through the internet.
