Advantages of an Organization Existing as a Single Entity, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 531

Essay

An organization, in the simplest form, is a person or a group of people that are intentionally organized in order to achieve an overall common objective or set of objectives. Many businesses, e.g. corporations and partnerships are operated as single entities. The advantages of such organizations are:

Taxation Advantages

In a single entity existence, the organization is taxed using a single form of taxation that it operates in. in the tax laws, different organizational structures are treated differently.

Management

It is easier to manage a single entity organization than have to oversee several organizations simultaneously. The managers can be able to trace all the employees in the organization, and also supervise their work efficiently. This is because each department in the organization is headed by supervisor or manager. These managers then report to the higher level management in the organization.

Economies of Scale

Many organizations of the same genre may come together to form one single organization. This could be done to reduce their economies of scale. This would mean that overall costs are reduced and profits maximized.

Market Control

Organizations joining to form a single entity can take control of the market. This would ensure that the all consumers are effectively provided with those products they require. Most of these products would include health, power, and water and sewage services, among others that the general public cannot do without.

Traditional Medicine Versus Alternative Medicine

Traditional medicine is said to refer to the type of medicine where medicine practices, doctrines, rites, opinions, and customs are handed down from generation to another, especially by oral communication. The correct usage here is reserved for Tibetan, Chinese, Ayurvedic, African, or other indigenous systems of medicine. These systems have century-old practices and philosophy foundations that are rooted heavily in each traditional setting. On the other hand alternative medicine is used to refer to different diagnostic procedures, not just the modalities of treatment. It is a wide healing resources domain that includes all of health systems, practices, products and modalities. Acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, herbal medicine, homeopathy and applied kinesiology are considered to be alternative medicine practices.

Most practitioners that are trained only in this type of medicine practice may not recommend contemporary products use. This is because contemporary medicine is linked with deficiency of documentation for the traditional medicines that has been used for centuries. They also may not be trained in their indications and nature and therefore opt to utilize conventional medicine that they are able to defend and explain better. Due to the lack of accurate medicinal studies, a lot of people have been injured through the use of the contemporary products. This is due to the fact that they themselves caused harm or delayed improvement arising from not taking established medications.

The most recent healthcare trends today are the complementary use of both these disciplines of medicine. The most challenging task is to make a choice on when either one of these medical practices should be used over the other. But the blend of the two in should make healthcare more effective in the future.
