Education is the bedrock for poverty eradication and development for most people worldwide. Today, many countries have enhanced the quality of education and made it compulsory that its netzines must receive primary education. Statistics have shown that people in developing countries can increase their future income by ten percent every additional year (Guo-Brennan, 2020). As a result, the government has placed more resources into improving public schools to offer quality education like private schools. In addition, they have increased the number of public schools in rural areas to ensure most of its residents can access primary education and get an opportunity to improve their future life. Many people have always been interested in taking their children to private schools since they have better resources and the teachers offer individualized attention to all their students. However, the government has responded by equipping the public schools, thereby allowing the students to have an equal opportunity as those in public schools to succeed in their education (Shaturaev, 2021). Although public schools have a higher-class size than private schools resulting in less individualized attention, it offers their students a diverse range of learning opportunities like scholarships and is affordable to most citizens.

Public schools have larger class sizes, making it challenging for teachers to offer individualized attention to their students. Enhanced concentration during classwork is critical to improving students’ understanding of their teachers. However, some public schools have a higher student volume than available teachers making it challenging to offer them special attention when they struggle with their course material. In addition, a large pool of students presents people with diverse cognitive capacities, personalities, and learning styles that differ across individuals (Guo-Brennan, 2020). As a result, a single teacher may fail to offer the proper attention required to understand a concept. For instance, when dealing with students who struggle to understand a concept and may need more tuition classes, the teacher must find extra time to offer individualized attention to ensure everyone in their class are content before proceeding with another chapter. Even so, this type of learning becomes difficult for public schools since a single teacher has much work to do to achieve their learning needs and quality education (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). The problem has become an emerging concern for public schools, which makes most parents prefer private schools to public education.

Public school students struggle with learning materials and classroom technology, which is essential for their educational success. Most countries have a synchronized academic curriculum that dictates the number of classes students should attend per semester and what they should cover in that specific period. The curriculum acts as a guide to help the teachers produce students with equal capacity throughout the country. However, most public schools struggle to afford learning materials for all their students compared to private schools. Reports have shown that the situation is extreme in rural areas where students living in different locations must share their books to complete their assignments on time (Shaturaev, 2021). The problems become disadvantageous to students who do not understand classroom work easily since they may not borrow the books from the other students to complete their work by themselves. The situations increase the gap between bright students and those who need special attention to understand their work. Studies have revealed that some students who dropped out of school claimed to lack educational material that made it challenging to complete their classwork and assignment leading to poor results at the end of the semester (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). Demoralization of students and parents due to poor performance has made the alternatives to education like helping their parents at home.

Public schools attract more qualified teachers due to high government incentives and benefits. The public school receives accreditation from a state board of education which dictates a consistent curriculum and a contract that shows the expected salary over a specific period. These conditions are critical for tutors because they allow them to make a work plan with minimum pressure on performance. Most private schools pay according to location, student availability, and funds (Shaturaev, 2021). They may adjust their curriculum to offer extra classes on skills depending on what the students or the parents request. The inconsistencies make it challenging for teachers to have a consistent working plan as they need to participate in the additional skills. As a result, most qualified teachers will want to join public schools and dedicate their time and talents to students without worrying about the future of their careers. Also, teachers need to achieve at least a bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement for employment in a government job. Therefore, the teachers ensure they have higher skills to compete with others who seek a similar position in the schools. Finally, public school teachers have higher job satisfaction than private school teachers since they have a union membership, which provides them with job stability and creates a safe working environment (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). Content teachers can easily concentrate on improving their students since they have other people to fight for their needs.

Public schools have a great sense of community and can easily engage parents to improve their students. Many public schools have existed for a long time, and teachers understand the nature and culture of the communities they serve. As a result, they know personalized problems that may affect their students, which makes it challenging for them to concentrate in their schools. For instance, some African public schools in the communities engage their parents to stop early marriages to allow students to complete primary education. A UNICEF report mentioned that about 650 million women ang girls got married before they were eighteen (Shaturaev, 2021). The problem has been a major challenge for most girls in rural areas since their parents match them to wealthy men in the community to increase their wealth and reduce the burden of raising many children. For that reason, the teachers in public schools conduct frequent campaigns where they engage the parents and explain to them the advantage of primary education over early marriages (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). The communities know most public school teachers who might have been in the same institution for several decades. The relationship with the community enables them to reach out to parents when students have personal problems, which is critical in ensuring they can successfully control social problems at early stages.

Public schools have a large diversity of students, making it possible to increase the educational choices of their students. Students from different races, religions, sexual backgrounds, and ethnicities attend public schools. As the students learn arithmetic, reading, and writing from their teachers, they become well-adjusted for their adult world due to interacting with different people with opposing beliefs. The exposure is critical for students as they interact with people from a diverse spectrum of humanity (Guo-Brennan, 2020). Today, the world is fighting racism and ethical prejudices from people without enough exposure to others in society. Private schools also fight against this discrimination, but most young students may not understand its importance since they have not interacted with people from different communities in their institutions. Public schools offer students an increased educational choice from an accredited institution within their neighborhoods (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). For example, students can take arts, humanities, foreign languages, and independent studies to meet their individual; needs with gifted education. The extra learning opportunities increase depending on a community’s wealth. Equitable funding from the government ensures that students with exemplary learning gifts receive more opportunities to exploit their skills to provide them with a bright future.

Public schools are fiscally responsible and more reliable than private schools. The government significantly influences fund allocation and spending for public schools, making them more reliable learning institutions than private ones. When public schools ask for government or community funds to complete a specific project, they must account for the money to justify its use (S?rakaya & Alsancak S?rakaya, 2020). The idea makes the schools reliable since the citizens know the available resources and are confident that the institution will allow their students to complete their coursework. However, most private schools can quickly become bankrupt and cease to exist after several years of operation. The interruption can be problematic for parents since finding another institution that offers similar learning opportunities can be challenging. Public schools commit to their students since they understand their student’s family backgrounds. Reports have shown instances where public schools took homeless students who could not afford to pay their school fees (Guo-Brennan, 2020). These teachers dedicate their resources to enlightening young children for the sake of the community around them without monetary expectations.

 In conclusion, even though public schools may not provide enough learning material or individualized learning to their students, they have a more significant commitment to them and offer them a better learning opportunity to become majority citizens. These schools have a more outstanding community commitment and work with the parents to ensure that all students get quality education. In addition, they are fiscally responsible and reliable since they get their support from the government, which prevents the mismanagement of school resources. In addition, they offer their students diversity by exposing them to people from a different community. The interaction prepares students for adult life by eliminating issues of prejudices and racism that less-exposed students struggle with in their everyday life.
