Customers are very import for any business. Without customers, a business or an organization cannot run. The customers are the ones that buy goods and services providing the business in an opportunity to make profit and keep on operating. Therefore, it is important for all businesses to have good relations with its customers by offering quality products or services. However, the term customer does not necessarily mean an individual but it can be another organization or a business that relates with in terms of selling goods or services (Brennan et al, 2014). Therefore, the paper will outline the relationship of an agricultural business and its relationship with a supermarket as its customer.

AgriFarm is a business based in New York. It deals with agricultural products, mainly horticultural products such as fruits, vegetables, and flowers. It has a big piece of land where it grows these products using green house structures. Moreover, it has a few other farms in Africa in addition to business partners in many countries in the world. Some of the products are directly produced in New York and Africa by the business while others are purchased from the business partners and resold. Therefore, the business has enough and quality supplies throughout the year. The target customer of the business is the NewMart supermarket whose headquarters are in New York City but has many branches spread throughout the country. AgriFarm’s objective is supplying the supermarket with fresh farm products on daily basis.

Since fresh farm supplies are highly demanded in United States of America and the current supermarket suppliers do not supply enough, this is an opportunity for this business to for a business relationship with the supermarket. Having noticed the gap, AgriFarm will write a proposal for supplying the business with agricultural products daily. The firm will then provide the sample of its products and indicate the quantities available for supply regularly. Moreover, the supermarket officials will be invited to inspect the farm in New York and determine the quality of the products in addition to specifying the quality the supermarket requires. After all is done, the prices per specific quantity and produce will be agreed on and the transaction will commence immediately (Monroe et al, 2015). AgriFarm has its own supply and storage facilities and hence there will be no problems of hiring from other firms.

NewMart as the business customer buys fresh produce on daily basis since the demand is very high. Moreover, it is a well-known firm in the country and hence very many customer who constantly purchase these products. As one of the biggest in the industry, it has a large capital base that gives AgriFarm a good opportunity in dealing with it as its customer. AgriFarm has competitive advantage over the other players in the industry because it has huge tracts of land, many experienced workers, high quality produce, and able partners and suppliers in other countries. The relationship between the two businesses will be strengthened by observation of business ethics by both. On the part of AgriFarm, it will ensure that the products are of high quality, right quantity on daily basis, delivery on time, and charging the right prices (Brennan et al, 2014). All these factors will enhance the satisfaction of the supermarket’s needs. On the other hand, NewMart is expected to pay on time for products and maintain the agreed quantities while observing all the terms and conditions set by the two businesses.
