Nature of the Occasion

We are gathered here today in commemoration of the just past event of inter-state science congress that just ended last week and our school won all the titles with high merits and honors. These create an opportunity for all science fanatics who are out there to express their views in a diplomatic manner that will be resourceful and intellectual. It also builds up a sphere of learning activities outside the class which is beneficial to both student and the faculty recognition.

Speaker’s Credibility

We have to have in-mind of the great people in history, whom have achieved award winning projects, from simple science applied artifact and change the history with these simple artifacts like the one the student indulged in the science fair.

Am going to take your mind back to the year 1847 March 3rd when a young lad was born by the name Alexander Graham Bell. Does that name ring a bell?.. both the parent of this chap were deaf, these made the boy indulge in many science fairs devising ways and research on hearing and speech all his young life he committed it to this worthy course which later paid off. (Julie 2006, p. 137)

Bell first taste of stardom was in the year 1876, at only twenty nine years old, he was awarded the first U.S. patent for the first telephone. The zeal in the young man would later land him many award from many inventions he would later devise in his life time, this includes; optical communication, aeronautics and hydrofoils. His succession in many areas of science would later make him the founder of the National Geographic Society. (Andrew 2005, p. 85). His attributes to sciences has influenced human race to date with many advantages, today we commemorate the life of the late Alexander Graham Bell who departed in the year 1922 August 2nd, during this occasion if only he was around to see his interventions.

Am recipient to one of his invention and I thank all who participated in the fair and the school recognize their effort and would like to call the principal and my mentor to issue out the presents to the participants of this beautiful and innovative occasion give hands to Mr. Bob Marley.
