All About Me, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 226

Essay

It’s impossible to know the complete me, obviously, but here are some of the main points:

  • My sister taught me to read when I was three, and I’ve never stopped since.
  • My favorite book is” Catcher in the Rye,” and I can totally relate to Holden Caulfield, my hero. His cynicism and observations about phonies hit home to me.
  • I am against capital punishment except for rudeness.
  • I am constantly on the lookout for typos everywhere: on signs, on television, in newspapers, because my wish is that the world would become a completely grammatically-correct place to live.
  • I am a serious animal lover and have been so ever since I got my first dog. Being around animals reinforces my ambivalence about people.
  • I can’t get over the fact that Vincent Van Gogh never sold one painting in his entire life, and now, his priceless works sell for millions of dollars. I don’t believe in Heaven, but if there is one, I really wish Vincent was looking down, watching his success posthumously.  Theo, too.
  • I’m crazy about sushi, despite knowing about the toxicity in our waters.
  • I despise circuses and SeaWorld-type shows, and am very judgmental about the people who patronize them.  They’re completely enabling the captivity of whales, dolphins, and other sea creatures.
  • I only know one Republican that I can tolerate.
  • I really hate cleaning, but I hate living in a dirty space even more.
