Main Issue: Why is it necessary to get an MBA education? What sanctions of the process does allow the IRA to provide reimbursement for the tuition fee of the students used during the length of the study’s completion?

  • Allemeier was already competent in doing his tasks in his current job; however the administration suggested that he gets an MBA education to further his skills.
    • Suggestion is different from commanded effort; this means that it was not a requirement for Allemeier to get the MBA education, and yet he desired to do so. It was a personal decision on his part to accept the suggestion.
  • The skills he gained from the education improved his already existing skills and capacities in relation to his job.
    • Nothing was added but the current skills were simply improved
    • The education did not qualify him for another trade or industry that he could transfer to
  • Allemeier stayed with the company for a longer time to serve there and use his gained skills from the MBA education he attained for the improvement of the company
  • In a way, the MBA education, being a personal decision, should be funded by Allemeier himself if not the company that he works for. IRA is not responsible for reimbursing any of amount utilized for the tuition fee since it was not a relative requirement for the job that he is aiming to perfect.
