Andrew and Darin, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 488

Essay

After looking at the recovery plan of two individuals, I realized that they both have similar goals to be achieved. Those two individuals were Andrew and Darin. The recovery plan of Andrew states, that he wants to utilize the community resource in order to increase the  independent living such as buses or trains. In addition to that, he also wants to control his weight for which he is making choices in healthy food. On the other hand, Darin also wants to eat healthy food so that he can control his weight and wanted to manage his owe money which is called budgeting. All these goals are recovery oriented.

Looking through these motivations, It made me realize that they both made a trumenerous journey and they achieved what they desired. I had an interview with them again to know about their goals and it came to know that they both are having different goals now. Darin wants to increase his self-esteem. He started working on it because of the treatment he had when he was a chiild and it lowered his self esteem. Andrew also discarded many old items from his house as he was having some bad memories from them and it hurts. Both Darin and Andrew are working to achieve there goals. The good part is, that illness management and recovery group is always there to help them in setting the meaningful goals. They acquire information and the skill to develop more enhancment over their psychiatric illness which leads to progress into there own personal recovery process. Based on the information what I found regarding this program, I would like to rate this program 5. The reason for this good rating is that the same program helped many people in there recoveries and it also helps them to achieve their previous goal and It’s the excellent program.

I have a phenomenal experience so far. The residences are great to work with as well as the staff. It was a hectic week. A deep cleaning exercise has been perfomed this week in the house. Even though we were having our normal days for cleaning but Medicaid and the State were coming were invited for the annual inspection and because of that many groups were cancelled in order for us to finish up the cleaning exercise. A woman from Medicaid came in for the inspection and she spent the whole day inspecting the checklist.. After spending 8 hours of inspection she passed the house and that was good news. It goes with their slogan clean, safe and well supervised. The new thing is that the service users are now being told to think on the transitioning in order to support houses. I got and opportunity again to go with few clients to see their doctos for the first time and from there we went to the community to access the resouces and all during all this process i enjoyed a lot.
