The constitution of the daily world is a concrete phenomenon. The concrete term for the surrounding or the environment is place. Nature in general forms a place that is of a particular identity as far as local circumstances are concerned. Perception is the main form of being familiar with something, and it only exists in a priori of the structure of the body and its involvement in the world (Gomez 7). This paper will be based on the thesis that human perception and phenomena of place influence the design function and form, in terms of organization and circulation of a flexible program to come up with sensible architecture

Architecture is intended to serve human activity needs. Therefore, it creates a relationship between senses of human beings, and the structure to lead to a transformation of perception and emotion. All through history, appreciation of the human beings’ body in architecture resonates particularly in its relation to their perception (Mallgrave 101). When a collaborative program is being integrated, sensory details should first be considered by design. Cherished memories of a place are often obtained from elaborate forms of detail permitting a bond, which exceeds the physical use of a structure, an experience that becomes entrenched in memory (Merleau-Ponty 137).

The origin of architectural program is by the perception of human beings and sensual experience. The body of human beings and the perceptions they have are the sources of all architectural programs, which form every part of the phenomenon of place or environment. The phenomenon of place does not only mean an abstract environment, but it means that it is an entirety consisting of physical structures. These physical features have shape, texture, color, and material substance. All these things determine the character of an environment, which is a duplication of human beings’ perception (Norberg-schulz 7).
