Background info on work: Defines the condition of the weather and how Afremov actually sees the emotional bearing it has on humans [especially that of the couples he chose to show in the work as possibly the main characters of his story].

Critical Analysis of the Work:

Line: the lines used for the art presented herein ranges from stretched to being well defined; a collaborative use of horizontal and vertical lines, the creator tried to define both space and environment through indicating the  position of the characters and their relation with the environment that they are presented along with.

Shape/Form: Circles and squares are most likely the common shapes in the painting. Creating an in-depth yet likely direct depiction of the trees and the ground that is separately defined from the humans in the picture, these shapes were effectively used to show contrast of elements in the artwork.

Color: the artwork represents the effective use of both warm and cool colors at the same time [which at some point concentrates more on the warm colors for the trees and cool colors for the ground suggesting the existence of water from the rain in relation to the message being portrayed in the work.

Value:  light as the picture is, the artist tried to create a specific condition of indicating life into the artwork; using more light hues than dark, the artwork simply comes alive with the said use of value.

Line: mostly utilizing horizontal lines, this art work imposes to represent the natural beauty of the water during sunset as it highlights the representation of the lighthouse in the background which erects high in the mountain top that contrasts the overall horizontal line which balances the overall presentation of the work.

Shape/Form: Natural as the presentation is, this painting utilizes a majority of natural shapes that makes the elements [humans, water and the lighthouse] stand out from the plain backdrop used in the work.
