Asian Neighborhood Design, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 306

Essay

1. What is A.N.D marketing strategy? (Both for service and for fund raising)

Asian Neighborhood Design (A.N.D.) does not have a traditional marketing strategy as it is a non-profit organization, but one recognizable marketing strategy that they use indirectly as both a fund raising tool and a method of marketing the services of their clients is to put the A.N.D. stamp of support on certain organizations. A.N.D. is a non-profit economic development company. They have numerous programs designed to empower individuals in need of economic development. They provide training to these individuals and in turn staffing to companies that support their cause. Their ability to market their services can be found in the fact that every time they promote their services to individuals in need of their support, or companies in need of their staffing abilities they are in turn advertising for all stakeholders involved (ie, workers, companies, fundraisers, supporting organizations). Their clients are also their customers and their community is also their client.

2 How will A.N.D finance continued operations into the future?

A.N.D. receives funding from The Roberts Foundation’s Homeless Economic Development Fund in regards to the money they use to provide micro-business development services. They handle all other funding, such as housing, through foundation and tax credit support, and will continue this method into the future.

3 Does A.N.D have the personnel (board, management and staff) to achieve their goals?

Yes they have staff, as well as the support of numerous non-profit organizations boarded by individuals with similar economic development goals like the Bay Area Building Technologies (BABTA), which focuses on providing internships and employment to individuals in the community. The company also intends to expand their services beyond micro-business development into enhancing the skills of individuals which could results in a pool of skilled workers trained by the program for self staffing down the road.
