Assessing the Use of the Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale (FCCER), Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 321

Essay

Caring for a child or for children is a specifically tedious task that requires one or an institution to have the right resources and the right capacity to handle the pressures of the said job. In the field of early childhood education, the condition of the school and the people working in it has a great impact on how each child grows into maturity. In relation to this the FCCER or the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale is noted to be dedicated in measuring whether or not a particular environment [may it be a home or a learning center] is suitable enough to handle the challenges of assisting in the process of child growth.

Children learn as they play. This is the reason why among the requirements stipulated within the clauses of the FCCER specifically noted the need of creating an environment that would best cater to the needs of the children to learn fully from class while not being pressured so much to gain the learning process from formalized setups that would not be able to fully relate to their being playful and explorative about their surroundings. In a home, safety is a primary concern. Given that in homes several activities occur such as cleaning and cooking, safety measures are expected to be implemented as part of the process of rearing a child within a safe environment. Doing so shall provide the family a better chance of helping the child or the children develop in a less stressing way, given that the safety measures are taken into careful consideration. With all these aspects of safety and environmental stimuli for learning taken into account, it is expected that the children would have a better chance at learning more while having more fun as they tend to explore their surroundings and become more aware of the practical life lessons they are supposed to grasp as stepping stone towards better options of learning.
