This section mainly entailed conducting research on the available technologies that have been built to personalize and customize learning experience. This approach was particularly interesting as most of the technologies that personalize or customize learning have a number of inherent flaws, disadvantages and limits apart from their numerous benefits and advantages.

This entailed comparison of the available technologies used to teach pupils who are visually impaired. The Bright Switch has been specifically engineered to help a student with visual impairment experience a richer learning experience. The Braille Sense Plus is an essential tool for a visually impaired student. It enables them accomplish a number of tasks that would they would otherwise find considerably challenging.

Monitor

This entailed tracking the development of technologies used to help students with visual impairments. It was found that newer technologies are developed with time. However, most of these technologies are built on improving already existing concepts and designs. This allowed for a rich background information for this particular research.

Evaluate

Research into The Braille Sense Plus reveals the advantages and underlying limitations of the piece of technology. The technology has the advantage of convenience which computers do not have. One considerable flaw with this technology is limited internet browsing. There is need for further development of the product.

Extend

Information obtained from this research is important in helping identify the most widely used technology for assisting in learning for the visually impaired. While most of the technology available is helpful, there is need for further development of the technologies as they generally lag behind in terms of hardware.

This information is crucial in helping conducting further research into the elements that define the most efficient assistive technologies. This information can be analyzed and debated in a classroom setting to obtain the most effective tool.
