Essay

What makes a person is basically determined by the kind of background that makes him. Certain elements that affects an individual’s being include family, friends, religion and the environment he grows into or basically the society. In a basic context, a person becomes fully honed through the existence of the family that he begins to embrace at the moment of his growth. This could be his actual family, an adopted one or simply a unit that serves as his basic source of nourishment and support. The first persons an individual becomes involved with specifically affect his personal characteristics so much. This is specifically true when it comes to honing the values he decides to cling onto.

As a person grows, he begins to understand the worth of religion and faith in his life. Not all people may believe in an existing God, but still they do believe in something and that makes up a huge part of their characteristic. Undoubtedly, family and religion makes so much of an individual which is why there are several times when they utilize these factors to make the biggest decisions in their lives.

Further in the years of maturity, one begins to explore his environment and relatively becomes influenced by it. At present, the utilization of media and other forms of information sharing affects the growth of so many individuals including their perception of life. A human individual then tends to balance the way he remains rooted on the family values he once recognized and the religious beliefs that he depends upon and tries to insist on how all these fit into the new findings he realize from mingling with the society that he lives in. Allowing all these factors affect one’s being is indeed somewhat tedious as it involves making comprehensive decisions that are important to establish one’s personal reputation. Nonetheless, it is the balanced view of one towards all these elemental factors in life that makes him a human being capable of making decisions that are specifically affective of his life.
