Rationale

Solid science and particularly energy and climate is an important course as it can be applied in our daily lives. Knowledge and skills acquired from the course can be used to conserve the environment, seek employment, improve our economy, and even improving our national security.

Objectives      

Many people should be encouraged to pursue a career as it is like any other career that will enable individual to earn a living, secure employment, conserving the environment and many others. The column written by John R. Christy should be presented in a way that the readers realize the importance of climate change science and the risks we are facing if the carbon emissions are reduced. Issues about climate change should be presented or covered on the media in a manner that it will encourage many people to study it and benefit from the knowledge and skills obtained.

Results           

Science is the best idea, and it has been motivated by awarding those who bring innovations used for predicting the future accurately as compared to the old ideas. The scientists are using the old ideas of the previous scholars when searching for better knowledge in science. For example, what idea of Albert Einstein on gravity can be used currently on the cell phone GPS but it was not working on the older physics of Isaac Newton. Scientists have struggled for many years working on the source of global warming. Observations from many scientists and improvements on their work have been used to make conclusions that burning fossil fuel release CO2 which cause global warming. Researchers have worked tirelessly, and they have realized that human beings are the major contributors the gas causing global warming.

Conclusions  

The assessments and conclusions made by the scientists have been used to formulate policies that will regulate human activities that cause global warming. The policies will help in reducing the burning fossil fuel and offering other alternatives for the conservation of the environment since environmental pollution affects all living things including human beings.
