Boss Feedback, Research Paper Example

Pages: 1

Words: 342

Research Paper

My three to five year long term goal is to make a successful career as a real estate agent. Real estate is a continuously lucrative market and has many opportunities for career expansion. The projected job growth for real estate agents is estimated to be 11 percent in the next ten years which makes for a secure job should I enter this line of business. The real estate agent who I interviewed was not only successful both career wise and financially, but they were content with what they were doing as well.

I recently received some feedback from my current boss about my work ethic, competence, maturity, business acumen, as well as my overall character. First off, my boss says that I have the potential to be a great leader. Although I do not currently carry the wisdom and attributes of a successful leader, I could easily obtain these elements with more experience and seasoning in any line of work which I choose. My boss says that I have already shown some elements of leadership in the past and that such characteristics can only grow stronger in the future.

My boss has always been proud of my competence such as always being on time and keeping true to my word. “I have never questioned your ethical standards as you have always been honest” my boss said in the interview. I told my boss about my desires for real estate and he informed me that I would be great at it because I am good with talking to people, which is a requirement in the line of sales.

I was not surprised about the feedback that I received from my boss because I do believe that I am competent in getting work done correctly and on time. It was very pleasing to hear that my boss views me as ethical because that characteristic is hard to come by in the business world. With my desires, belief in myself, along with my bosses stamp of approval, I do feel confident in entering the field of real estate.
