Bullies in a healthcare office or environment are especially troublesome. Doctors and physicians are acquainted with the old idea of the “disruptive medical practitioner” and the Joint Commission’s up to date models on averting and correcting “behaviors that undermine a culture of safety” (Schat, 2011). If for whatever reason a bully persists in an office, work is not being completed productively and a lack of effective communication amongst employees and bosses is enduring. Dr. Schat is a PhD holder, as is Dr. Frone, and both authors teach in education institutions mainly pertaining to psychology and business. Finally, in taking a look at the text, it is difficult to argue against their premises regarding the result of workplace bullying in healthcare. All in all, this seems to be a very credible article.
