The grantsmanship presentation provides a creative approach to improving presentations so that audience is interested rather than bored with the material. This is important in providing an engaging presentation that captures the viewer’s interest throughout the presentation, rather than losing interest early on. This is an important step towards the discovery of new techniques and content in order to ensure that advanced practice nursing topics are comprehensive yet engaging on many levels. This will enable APNs to achieve greater confidence and knowledge in the material in order to have a greater impact on the audience (Vollman, 2005). Furthermore, it is evident that presentations must be effectively prepared in order to achieve the intended results in the viewer (Bovee & Thill, 2011).

Slide Makeover #78: This presentation provides further evidence that charts must be creative and thoughtful in order to enable the viewer to better understand their content. Using the wrong type of chart may lead to significant confusion for the viewer; therefore, the appropriate type of chart must be considered in order to accomplish the required objectives in the slide (Paridi, 2014). Therefore, adjusting slides accordingly may have a positive and meaningful impact on the anticipated outcomes for the viewer (Chen, 2008).

Guber’s video entitled “The Art of Purposeful Storytelling” provides a greater sense of the need to identify an emotional response within the audience and to connect with the audience in this manner. This will support the ability of the presentation to resonate with viewers and will enable them to listen to and view the presentation with the appropriate watchful eye. This is an important step towards the discovery of new techniques and challenges that will have a positive impact on the audience, using an emotional level of engagement in order to accomplish these objectives in an effective manner.
