Many trends and changes happen at the workplace today. They include technology, economy, culture and routine regulations. In terms of technology, there exist a myriad of changes given that the world of technology is dynamic.  Therefore the workplace practices the use of the computers, voice and information flow in the internet, use of video among other protocols.

Economically, a practice of the organization that seeks to cut costs requires the organization to exploit best prices and talent regardless of the geography to achieve its objective. The workplace requires that culture should be of aspiration and is a common phenomenon. The culture is one that gets immediate feedback from either the clients or workmates. The workplaces’ regulations refer to rules that encourage compliance with the set out laws within and outside the workplace. With the employment of such practices, many industries require workers who can produce ideas that benefit the company. They therefore create good communication skills at each and every level of the workplace hence create a sense of unity and understanding (James, 2005). Workers showing in an organization with a strong and well-developed communication network are able to work as a team. Daily practices are designed in such a way that it opens the physical space and merging individuals from all the departments including the executives together each day. Therefore the workplace is linked up with other companies in the world so as they are able to understand their trends and culture and also the thinking models. When the executives and the workers merge, they exchange information concerning the organization hence this practice encourages team development. Common practices in the work require trust be built at all levels. This means that people ought to exchange ideas with others. As mush as the process is quite challenging, many competitive companies are using trust to achieve their goals and objectives. It is therefore very common to oversee our fears in the work and embrace trust.

Sharing of ideas and information freely in the workplace is necessary and crucial for the organization. When workers hide information from each other, this prevents free flow and ideas hence it sabotages work flow and learning. In order to improve the work processes in the company, it is critical for workers to share the information that they deem useful for the welfare of the organization. Sound sharing of ideas navigates the organization to prosperity at all spheres including economically, socially, spiritually and culturally. This process is common in the workplace hence makes every individual to be valued healthily and that is why sharing is justified as a common practice. Hence it is common to build teamwork which is the foundation and the strength of the working environment (James, 2005). The photo shows a ring of hands showing teamwork spirit in an organization.

Objective of the organization is the priority for any working environment. It is common since it provides the path through which the organization or the company follows. In order to fulfill the mandate of the organization, a common practice on setting out goals of the company will pays off well by providing the impetus for shared ideas. Hence this practice propels the company to higher level of achieving its objectives. In the photo above, a group of employees from an organization is working together towards achieving a certain goal.

Among most common practices in the work, innovation fuels originality and development. Hence, it is proper for workers to practice innovation since it is a stepping stone to promotions and high competitions with other organizations that are of their nature. Innovation is widely practiced globally today in all working premises due to increased competition. For this to be fulfilled, the physical environment should be in such a way that it encourages innovations at all times.

The work place also practices collaborative chaos. It is important that the set out duties in the workplace be merged in such a way that other individual’s link up their ideas and thoughts to bring out the unexpected to happen. This process, which is also very common, generates order and rich returns to the company or the organization.

It is very common for various department or individuals to experience confrontations with other members. This form of confrontation however hostile it could be, but as long as it leads to a constructive argument, then it should be encouraged for development. Therefore exchanging point of views, may at times lead to disagreement which in turn brings about constructive understanding and agreements.  Therefore people at the work place confront one another in terms of ideas but at the end of it all create shared ideas and common understanding.

Communication is a common practice all over any working environment globally. This implies that individuals tend to communicate frequently with each other. This form of communications could be interpersonal or organizational.

On the other hand, it is healthy for many organizations to link up with the surrounding community. This process builds trust and corporation with the surrounding community. Without a sense of the community, we tend to lack trust and corporation. Thus, it is common practice for the community to exist so as the organization effectively and efficiently work.

The other common practice is value. The aspect of value is always created in any working environment. Adding value to products, designing new and competitive marketing procedures, solving problems faster adds value to the organization.  Therefore, this implies that it should and is common for the individuals and the organization to add value to the people and their products in general not forgetting the clients will boost how to achieve the objectives of the company.

Other common aspects in the workplace are ways of reducing stress. It is common for different organizations to mediate which are based on values as compassion, reflection and awareness. Such events are carried out while in group discussions, meetings among other practices. Daily work therefore requires strategic planning, team communication creating a working environment that is contemplative in nature. Examples are in faith-based organizations around the world such as Contemplative Outreach Ltd (James, 2005).

Conclusion

When the common practices are absent in a working environment, workers will resort to use unsatisfactory options which include guesswork, tribalism, rumors and trial and error versions. This combination leads to the inability of the organization to achieve its objectives that is reduced productivity, and loss of workers potential. Therefore, in order to achieve the desired best practices that are very common in any working company, effective use and practice of the fundamental common skills should be applied. They include setting and striving to achieve the organizations goals, teamwork and sharing of ideas, economic sustainability, common cultural practices within the organization, and good interpersonal and organizational relationships in terms of communication and also developing good and lasting relationship with the surrounding community. These are just but few of common practices at the work place.
