Reflection

The consultation experience was an important one for me as it served as a revelation on the requirements I need to meet to compete in the job market successfully. The process was exciting as the candidate was different from me in many aspects including his interests. The consultation expanded my knowledge and information regarding sciences and mathematics and their immense contribution towards pursuing different careers. An involving process exposed the need for guidance amongst high school students as they anchor their future lives through career choices. The questions that arose were mainly about the future employment opportunities and career advancement including the challenges of pursuing mathematics and science related courses. I think the client gained necessary information on his strengths and weaknesses and the need of striking a balance in his academics to suit his future career choices.
