Essay

Children are basic members of family arrangements and most often than not, they become the central elements that hold families together. They are also considered as the most delicate members of the society who ought to be cared for. This is the reason why one of the most first basic stages of childhood is established alongside the need of children to be well attached with their parents, basically loved and cared for by those older individuals around them. They are supposed to feel secure in the environment that they are growing into. However, situations change and the vision of such truth changes as well.

Today, as seen from the presentation, instead of being carefully given attention to, children often become the victims of crimes that they are most vulnerable to. These crimes include domestic abuse, sexual abuse and even verbal abuse that mark the children forever as they grow into maturity. True, it is crucial that children are provided with the protection that they need. And because of the case that has been mentioned, the responsibility of assuring child care and security has become more of a social responsibility than it is a family-centred job. Relatively, the whole society should serve as a look out for every child, hoping to create a secured environment for them to grow into. This however calls for cooperation, a matter that is most often than not has already been considered obsolete in these current years of extensive social progress.

This is the reason why the introduction of several programs and agencies dedicated to protecting child welfare have been established. These institutions are most often than not non-government organizations that insist on the promotion of child care awareness among parents and among individuals who are enjoined in child care institutions such as schools. It is believed by these organizations that with the use of proper information and good application of developmental childcare protection, the status of protecting children would become much acceptable at present.
