Chinese Influence on Korea and Vietnam, Essay Example

While Korea created independently from China, it tunneled large portions of its practices and plans, and like Japan, made them fit their needs (Woodside 2009). Since Korea is separated from China by a single river, numerous practices, thoughts, and customs spread.  The first pilgrims were doubtlessly tribes of northern wanderers. The Han Dynasty of China attacked northern Korea in 108 B.C. By 75 B.C., Korea had won back a large portion of their lost land by battling. Throughout the following 700 years, three vast adversary kingdoms shaped. They battled for extreme control over the landmass.  For hundreds of years, Korea was united and self-ruled, however it battled against obscure intruders. In the 1200s, Mongols came and ruled until the late 1300s, when their Chinese domain fell. Next, throughout 1392, the Choson Dynasty, a Korean Dynasty, started to run with the Yi family as rulers. They ceased an attacking armed force in the late 1500s and its control kept ticking in excess of 500 years (Woodside, 2009).

There are just mountains differentiating the terrain promontory of southeast Asia and northern China, so most of the transportation between the two regions was via ocean or beachfront fields. China’s fighters, dealers, and ministers, spreading their society to numerous spots, including Vietnam, frequently traveled these ways. The Viets existed south of China, in present-day Vietnam.  By 111 B.C., Nam Viet, their kingdom, was vanquished by the Chinese (Norman, 1988).
