Pages: 1

Words: 297

Essay

In the phases of American History, the Civil Rights movement is an actual process by which the American society called for the equal treatment of the people from different races which practically began in the 1960s. This movement hailed the need of the government to recognize that each individual has the right to equal options of employment as well as equal presentations of liberty that basically allows them to live their lives freely as they want and as they think would best identify with the benefits that they could get from what the government offers. The ones who lead this movement where the African American leaders who banded together in order to fight for justice and equality for everyone else living in the United States. The balance treatment provided for all was a certain goal that the movement tried to achieve.

On the other hand, black power movements are more distinct and surfaced to have a definite turn of distinction that basically aims to create a more realizable system of recognition on how black rights are appreciated and implied in the society. In a way, these movements aimed to create solid black communities in the country; giving is members a chance to embrace what the American dream are all about. Unlike the civil rights movement which is focused on creating a properly established understanding of the overall rights of the people, the black power movement is more dedicated towards changing the life pattern of black Americans as they face the different challenges of living in US. These movements aim to create a definite turn of events that would redefine the characterization of black American communities in the country as they take over their lives [apart from the historical mark of slavery that has bonded them for many years].
